Not Such A White Christmas

Meteorologist Josh Fitzpatrick did find some snow but not enough.

Unfortunately the Tri-State didn't get that "White Christmas" most wanted. The snow which fell in the previous snowstorm melted as temperatures warmed into the 40s and 50s.

The mountains of West Virginia managed to have a white Christmas as most places picked up more than two feet so the snow didn't have time to melt away.

To technically have a white Christmas you must have at least 1" inch of snow on the ground come Christmas morning.

The only snow that lingered in the Ohio, Big Sandy and Kanawha Valleys were in small piles in the shade.

The picture below shows what I had left of a white Christmas! Rather sad, huh?

Better luck next year!

Not to worry fellow snow lovers, I'm expecting many more chances for snow as we enter the new year.
