In case you missed it, I made my annual snow angel this morning live on NewsChannel 3 Today. It's always fun to get out and play in it like I'm a kid again.
This is a very dry, powdery snow so it's not a good snowman or snowball making kind of snow but of course you can always make your own snow angel! Skiers love this type of snow. Out west they call it champagne powder.
There was one snow which got me into meteorology back in 1993, the blizzard of March '93 and I recall the day after the big snow, it was too deep for my brother, Justin and I to go out and play in it. Snow drifts were more than four feet high in places.
One other snowstorm and blizzard I had a lot of fun it was the blizzard of 1996. Growing up in Gallia County, Ohio I measured 18" inches and built a snow igloo.
To this day, that's the last true blizzard to blow through the Tri-State. I think we're over due. Don't you?
Tell me what you enjoy about the snow, what you, your children like to do. Oh and also for those of you who aren't fans of snow, tell us why. Please post your comments below. Thanks!
