A September Start To The Week -- Enjoy!

Posted: Mon 1:00 AM, Sep 10, 2012

This is definitely the time to get outside and enjoy the weather. Can't beat it. By the middle of the week we'll see a little warm-up again.

Happy Monday everyone! -- And it is a happy one despite it being back to another work-week.

How about those temperatures this morning. A little chill perhaps? Some of our high mountain valleys in West Virginia could see some patchy frost and temperatures in the 30s, though we won't be seeing that sort of thing. It's a nice shot across the bow for autumn though. It's all courtesy of a Canadian area of high pressure that has made it's way through to our area and changed things up. It will be around for a while, so expect dry skies to continue.

That's about as grand an area of high pressure as we've seen these past few months. It would have been nice to get this during a weekend, but that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes.

Here's a look at those temperatures for the next few days:

We do warm up toward the middle of the week, but it's certainly a manageable thing. Compared to last week, it should feel cool enough, but those who are working out there in direct sunlight all day can certainly think it otherwise :-)

So when is it going to rain next..?

GFS - Friday PM

Showers will be approaching by Saturday, certainly something to watch considering it's Chili-Fest time(!) in Huntington... but the gray colors on there are the 'sprinkles' sort of thing. There is plenty of time between now and then, but this one isn't looking too terribly impressive right now.
