Updated: 1:47 AM Snow flurries scatter about today, with some light accumulations for the mountains.
Updated: 1:47 AM Snow flurries scatter about today, with some light accumulations for the mountains.
Updated: 6:35 PM It's back to life... back to reality (of March) for the tri-state. Highs once again hit the 60s yesterday, but we won't see that again right through the weekend.
Updated: 7:10 PM ...starting with near summer-like weather, then perhaps getting a little close to winter for the comfort of those who greatly enjoyed this past weekend.
Updated: 6:24 PM A glorious day today, with temperatures soaring toward 70! Showers are waiting for us on the other side of the weekend, but they are taking the scenic route.
Updated: 6:32 AM Sunshine returns just in time for the weekend. And... AND... We leave winter behind for a while (if you want to)
Updated: 8:16 AM Final thoughts on our developing snow storm, and plenty of tracking maps and cams to have you stay on top of things.
Updated: 4:13 PM This is a self-contained, somewhat confusing post about how storm systems can appear to 'jump' across the mountains (and in other places). It is relevant to our situation, as our storm has been doing this, and will again.
Updated: 4:17 PM The next storm system moves in today, and we've got your tracking maps. Looks like another decent one for the WV mountains.
Updated: 7:24 PM Clouds finally break today, but don't expect it to last long. Rain and snow is on the return, and we continue to track the possibilities.
Updated: 9:40 AM Sunshine gradually elbows its way back into the scene Sunday and Monday, but it's time to get the umbrellas (and snow boots?) back out for Tuesday
Updated: 7:59 PM Another batch of flakes and drizzle to track this morning, but most of the action is now in the mountains. Early next week, another system is worth a look.
Updated: 4:52 PM Still tracking more occasional snow showers and rain showers across the tri-state. Don't expect much, unless of course you're thinking of skiing this weekend.
Updated: 8:22 PM Yesterday's storm stalls out to our north, and we'll get several days of nuisance drizzle, rain, flurries, snow, and whatever else we find in between.
Updated: 8:41 PM It's tracking day for the arriving rain. We'll be watching the ice to the east as well. If you're not pleased with today's weather, it's not getting much easier through the week.
Updated: 5:18 PM Enjoy a good Monday, but folks on the eastern facing slopes of the Appalachians may have a dangerous situation on their hands Tuesday.
Updated: 7:12 PM A coastal storm takes over the weather in the eastern US, but we're just enough on the outside edge to enjoy a decent enough weekend. Another storm lurks for next week.
Updated: 5:26 AM Today puts us at the best opportunity for sunshine, but our next system arrives overnight.
Updated: 2:15 AM Our up-and-down weather continues. Now we have more cold weather in town, with mild temperatures headed in again Friday.
Updated: 8:05 PM Several storm systems are lining up to waltz through the Ohio Valley in the coming days. It's still a little spread out, but the up-and-down pattern will provide an inhale-exhale kind of forecast
Posted: 6:30 AM Don't expect them all the time, and even some sunshine in between, but this weekend's wintry feel is real.
Updated: 10:35 AM Rain and snow currently moving across the tri-state, eventually changing to all snow today.
Updated: 12:52 PM Rain and snow affecting both commutes, but the evening ride could prove the trickiest.
Updated: 6:32 PM After a spring-like start to the week, it's back to February reality today, and it's just the beginning of what will become a cold rest of the week.
Updated: 4:50 PM Though the initial part of this week will be mild, the coats and gloves shall return soon.
Updated: 3:27 PM ...Just to watch it on the TV (or on the blog) ;-) I'll have tracking maps and webcams for you to sit back and enjoy. However, anyone with travel plans to New England must sit this one out.
