Good Wednesday everyone and thanks so much for dropping by the blog. In what has become tradition here on the blog... the day before Thanksgiving post is dedicated to the best Thanksgiving Movie ever... Planes, Trains and Automobiles! It also happens to be one of my all time favorite movies, so that should tell you a little bit about your friendly weather dude!

Today is a busy travel day... the busiest of the year. The weather doesn't look half bad out there today as we will only have a few light showers as a cold front crosses the region. Here is a radar for your traveling needs...

Temps today will be topping out in the 50-55 degree range with a mix of sun and clouds outside of the few showers. The colder air waits to come in during the day Thursday. Highs for Thanksgiving day will run in the low and mid 40s before falling into the 30s from west to east by later in the day. Rain showers will increase quickly during the afternoon as a system dives through from the northwest. As temps drop... the rain will change to snow showers for Thursday night into early Friday.

Thanksgiving Evening

It is possible that a coating of snow may occur in a few spots... especially in the higher elevations and on elevated surfaces.Daytime highs for Friday will struggle to get out of the 30s. This should make for great Christmas shopping for all you bargain hunters!

The snow showers will move away leaving us with a decent weekend. Temps will be warming back into the low 50s by Sunday. That brings us into next week and what should be an active week as our step down to winter really kicks in. There is likely to be a storm during the first half of the week and this can deliver us some wintry weather. The timing and evolution of this storm still have to be worked out.

The Canadian Model is taking a track that would bring winter to us...

This will make for some fun tracking through the long Holiday weekend. Check back for updates and safe travels. Take care.

Happy Thanksgiving Chris, Everyone! Something is definitely moving in. My knees and feet have been swollen and hurting like the devil all week so far. Very painful. Only does that when something bad is coming. I love snow though. I sure hope thats whats coming, cause i sure could use a wonderful white snowy day. This 100 yr old house filled with thanksgiving smells, all my animals snug n warm. I sincerely hope everyone has a warm family day full of love and joy. Make your day better, donate something, invite someone alone to dinner. Pass out cookies, i dont care, just do something to pass it on. This spirit shouldnt only be for tomorrow, it should be for everyday of the year.
