Good Saturday everyone and thanks for dropping by the blog. We are coming off of back to back pretty nice days across the tri state. We get another decent one out there today before some changes move in later tonight.

Our system rolling in for Sunday is going to bring a good, soaking rain to much of the area. With some smaller streams having ice on them and a still somewhat frozen ground... we have to be watchful for some runoff problems. Take a look at what the GFS shows...

Saturday Night

Sunday Morning

Sunday Afternoon

Some areas can pick up an inch or so of rain out of all this in what looks to be a very soggy Sunday. There is SOME slightly colder air moving in as the storm departs so there MAY be a few flakes on the tail end Sunday evening across the higher elevations.

We will dry things out come Monday and this will lead us into a transition week of weather that sees a little bit of everything before all is said and done. After this coming week.. winter returns and strengthens as we head into the remaining days of January and February. I will talk more about that with the next few updates.

Until next time... take care.

The worst of Winter is most likely past. We had a nice run of cold and snow cover. Which is very rare for our area. Now it is back to weak clippers with 1-2 inches that melt soon after sunrise.

Wow! With that track, imagine if the cold of the last couple of weeks was still in place. Easy 12" would be added to the 4"-6" we had. Oh well, hopefully one pops up on the horizon
