Engagements, babies and learning new tricks.

Well folks, wedding bells are ringing out once again. No. Not me (again). One of my best friends (since we were little girls) got engaged on New Year's Eve. Her name is also Jennifer (like Jennifer Cottrill), so another "Jen" wedding is in the works.  This is very very very exciting. She's been with her boyfriend for seven  years so it's been a long time coming! This also means that out of our close circle of 7 friends, there are only 2 of us who are still single. We are the final holdouts. The old maids. The spinsters. Just kidding.

Also, a new baby Ralston is on the way tonight. My brother and sister-in-law are en route to the hospital to have baby #2. We don't know if it's a boy or girl. I am only praying for a healthy baby. Talk about timing. Their son, Connor, was born on January 2nd. He's 4 years old. So they were worried Dianna would go into labor yesterday (January 2nd) and that the kids would have to share a birthday. I have to give her loads of credit. She held strong and probably won't have the new baby until tomorrow. They live in Vero Beach so I will be heading down there on the 17th to meet my new niece or nephew.  Connor has changed all of our lives for the better, so I can't wait for this little one to arrive.

Finally, after some tricks and a few battles, Ginger has finally given up and is going outside in the snow.  I literally had to pull her out from underneath the couch yesterday and carry her outside. Finally though, she is willing to go out there on her own. I can understand why it's not so much fun. She is a mini-wiener dog, her legs are undeniably short, so she almost goes missing in a couple inches of snow (:  Her little belly is freezing when she comes back inside because it's so close to the snowy ground.

It has been an exciting couple of days. I'm hoping this is an indicator that the rest of the year will be just as great. Seriously, my fingers are crossed!

Posted by: Linda Congrats on the new babies. They are truely a gift from God. I my self had a new grandbaby on 1-22-08 @ 10:56am. A wonderful baby girl. Taylor Nicole Gray. She has a very proud 3yr. older sister, who has nicknamed her Angel(for the past 2 months she has called the baby this, before it was even born). We didn't know what we were having till she was here. My grandchildren have 2 wonderful parents, my daughter(Chanel) and son-in-law(Jason). I feel so blessed by God. Now if my son would meet a great girl and get married and have us even more of these gifts from God, my life would be complete! Babies are truely a Gift from God! Thank You.
