My blog just landed me on national TV.

A few months ago, I blogged about how I'm always the bridesmaid and never the bride. It was the first blog I wrote as we started to get ready for Jennifer Cottrill's wedding. Yesterday, a producer from "Inside Edition" called me at work and said that she read the blog and wanted to see if I would do an interview. They're putting together a story about the new movie "27 Dresses" starring Katherine Heigl (from "Grey's Anatomy").

I said "sure". I mean, at this point, I've pretty much laid it all out there and don't have much to lose :) Katherine's character in the movie is a lot like me. A notorious bridesmaid. She's been in 27 weddings. I've been in 7. I have a little catching up to do, but I'm confident that I can give her a run for her money :)

So, they flew in to town Tuesday morning and taped an interview with me about all the times I've been a bridesmaid. It really was a lot of fun. I think the story will air Friday or Monday. "Inside Edition" airs on another local channel, so you might have to check out the TV GUIDE to find out what time it's on. The reporter they sent, Megan Alexander, was a lot of fun and is getting ready for her own wedding so we had a good time talking.

I shared pictures (some are not very flattering) from the weddings I've been in and some wedding video too. I also shared some of my embarrassing wedding memories. This was no challenge considering that I had so many to choose from.

I just thought it was hilarious that "Inside Edition" found me through my blog. It served as a good reminder that people are actually reading what I'm writing. Do you think this means that if I blog about wanting to win the lottery, someone will send me several million dollars?

The segment airs tonight at 7:30 on CBS. If you go to the "Inside Edition" website and click on the large video screen, they have a promo of the story that you can watch. I've been dubbed a "Serial Bridesmaid."

Posted by: ana Why on God's earth would a woman want her bridal party to look stupid? When I get married they are all going to look fabulous. I see the way they are dressed and the overall look of the party as a reflection of my style and taste. I had someone so "sweetly" remind me that well educated women have a hard time finding a spouse. This on the heels of me recieving my Masters and beginning my PhD. Nice. There are alot of really good, educated men out there. We just have to get past the "Big Bang Theory" attitude to find the diamond in the ruff. Right? right....

Posted by: Joshua I don't know if I missed it or not. In your comments section it says you were on Inside Edition on Jan. 11th but your blog says you will be on it next Mon. or Tues.. I guess I'll have to find out what day you update your blog to really know or I could do as you say and pick up a T.V. Guide. The last time I commented about your blog was about a half a week ago and I went home and had a dream about a T.V. Guide. I guess that was somebody telling me it was already on T.V.. I also read about you being mentioned in a movie and now I see your blog "My big movie breakout" so I'm going to go read it now and I will talk to you there.

Don't fret I was a bridesmaid in 4 weddings; two of the weddings I was it was for the same frienYou time will come, besides you get a collection of bridesmaids dresses and as times change you'll laugh at the various styles of dresses you will collect.
