It's time to go to the Bracketology link on our webchannel and make your picks for the NCAA. I'm here to tell you that you can't beat me. OK...maybe you can, but I have to scare off the competition.
Every year we have a fun pool in our office. The sports guys always talk a big game...and then finish at the bottom. So when you see that Keith Morehouse, John Mulvaney and Paul Gessler are also playing in Bracketology...don't worry. They can't beat you.
I want to pass along some helpful information for anyone who wants to play. Don't pick the defending national champ. (Florida didn't make the tournament.) Don't pick every local school. (Morehead State, Marshall, Ohio State and Ohio U. didn't make it either.) Also, don't pick Coppin State to win it all. After that sage advice, you're on your own. I'm not going to help people to beat me at my own game.
If you win the Bracketology game, I will make you a promise. I will announce your name on the news and give you the proper congratulations that you are due. Then under my breath, I will badmouth you.
So what do you think...did my Indiana Hoosiers get the worst seeding in the whole tournament. The Hoosiers were in the top ten in the nation one month ago. Today Indiana is a number 8 seed and would have to face number one in the nation North Carolina if they even get lucky enough to win against Arkansas. I guess that's the real penalty for Coach Kelvin Sampson's cheating. Indiana is a tough team and D.J. White may be the only guy who is better in the center position than North Carolina's Tyler Hansbrough. I still don't think I can pick my Hoosiers to beat Carolina.
You have a couple more days to make your picks. So sign up today.
