I'm alive! I'm alive!

I've been getting email from people wondering if I fell off the earth... and it kind of feels like I did. WHOA... I was totally unprepared for the reality of having four children! It truly sent me into another realm for awhile, but we're figuring it all out. Here's my advice to anyone seeking advice from anyone who has multiple children: DON'T BELIEVE THEM WHEN THEY SAY (insert number of children here) IS NO HARDER THAN (insert one fewer number of children here.)

I think having expectations that it's going to be really difficult is the way to go. That way, if you're right, you expected it, and if you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised! 

Either way... if you missed the news, my baby girl Laurel was born August 13th. Funny story 'bout that, beginning with my water breaking at the end-of-the-season swim team party at our neighborhood pool. But I guess I shouldn't get into all that right now since Miss Laurel wants Momma's attention.

But I think she's okay with me taking another moment to say she is an absolute joy, just looking at her makes my heart want to burst into confetti or something, and I've truly enjoyed (most of) my time at home adjusting to having a family of six.

For those who were wondering... I start back to work November 9th. I'm still wondering where the last 11 weeks went. I look forward to getting back among my friends at WSAZ and maybe even having a bit of time to write a blog here or there.
