Well April, since she attended in '98 and it wasn't awarded until '07, the mistake is very unlikely. What do you think out of the clear blue sky, her name came up and WVU said, hey let's award her a degree! Not likely.

Pat, you hit it right on ! ! These kind of things are criminal and should be treated as so. This has put another black eye on the citizens of WV. After this being told all over country and the world it will make a degree from WVU look to be no more than a mail order certificate etc. People plan and work most of their lifetimes toward getting a chance to attend a college or university and if they get that chance it is only once in a lifetime. I can relate to the disgrace and loss of the WVU grads. and students. As you have said the ones doing things like this are only looking for a chance to get for themselves no matter what it does to others. Right or wrong means nothing to these people. If we re-elect people like this it tells them go for it, you can do anything here in WV and get by with it... This is why this state is in the shape it's Now !...

Why did it take a panel to study this issue? From the beginning, if someone had just admitted she received credit for on-the-job experience, it would not have simmered for this long. There is nothing wrong with Ms. Bresch's c.v. indicating she had studied for an MBA degree at WVU. Look how an innocent fact check turned into an investigation. What a waste of time and resources.

I have to wonder about the Daughter of the Governor, I would think if you earned a degree you would know you earned it, if you didn't earn a degree then you would know that as well. HUMMM, Just how dumb to they think we are? You should know if you have earned a degree. This makes those of us who have earned our degree look stupid. WVU having resignations in accord with all of this. Sounds like just a game to me, and someone was caught.

Apparently, Manchin is another run-of-the mill pol; extracting everything he can for his famiy at the expense of the reputation of WVU and another black eye for WV. To many people had knowledge of this for them to cover it up. This involved to many people for some time, for it to be just a mistake or pushed under the rug.

DO you KNOW it alls think that perhaps if it was FIXED by Manchin and all of the other people you all have no problems dragging into this that they would have just fixed the records to make it look like she had actually done what she needed to have earned the degree. Can't there ever just be a mistake made without there being some evil behind it?

I think the "headline" for your story is a little misleading. After watching the video, Governor Manchin's comment regarding his daughter is not that sensational.
