Remember the little town in Indiana upon which the the movie "Hoosiers" was based? It was called Milan Indiana, population about 1200 roughly, about twice as big as Sandy Hook Kentucky If you haven't heard of Sandy Hook then chances are you haven't heard of the best little basketball team in the Commonwealth, the Elliott County Lions. The reason i compare Hoosiers to this fantastic Elliott County team is because like Indiana back then, Kentucky doesn't break down its state championship into classes. Posted by: Bryan Lee I've got to know some of these kids personal. You could not ask for better kids. Ethan, Evan, Johnathan and Chris and Timmy are CLASS ACTS. Keep in mind these kids come to the school on weekends, and summer time days. I've seen them in the gym before at 1 am on the weekend. The county has supported them well. I remember seeing Ronnie AND Jimmie (the only law enforcement they have) at Rupp. Its amazing to see that. And the Parade after the District win. Thats a sight in its self. Everybody along the route home flipping on and off porch lights as we went by....goose bumps! Elliot County and Sandy Hook may be small, but that Lion Pride is State wide. I will be there for the Lewis Co. matchup, and I will be there to see those boys win it all this year. We keep forgetting to mention the Lady Lions. Look at the season they have had. They went from Zero to Hero really quick. Congrats Ladies. And as the say in the Hook---- GET'ER DONE @ RUPP!!!! Posted by: Don Why with a 30 point lead do you keep your starters in.
