Fall Weekend Fun, Football and Fronts
Improving weather will grace our presence this weekend with two periods apt to be a bit grey and damp.
Friday night into Saturday morning, skies will be socked in with low clouds, fog and a touch of mist. Ask high school football fans and you will hear how a cloak of mist and fog clung to elevated stadiums like GW. Those same conditions will greet early saturday travelers heading north on I-79 to catch a glimpse of Fowler, Corso, Herbstreet and Andrews in Morgantown.
Also by Late Sunday, a thundershower can creep in as the air turns sticky again.
But in between many dry hours will treat us and I do expect partial sun both Saturday and Sunday afternoon for tailgaters and festival goers alike.
Herd fans will love the mild breezes and won't need a jacket at the Joan. Highs near 70 will settle back to 65 as the game ends.
'Eers backers on the other hand should carry a light jacket into Milan Puskar where daytime highs in the mid 60s will fall into the 50s by the second half..
Parade goers will enjoy a nice Saturday night in Jackson for the Apple Fest Grand Finale Parade while kids should wear a sunscreen to Main street in Milton for the Pumpkin Festival Parade on Sunday.
Add it up and the first weekend of autumn will be rather tepid with plenty of dry and bright hours.
