Trick or Treat Weather Shines

The All Hallows Eve weekend is off to a crisp start weather-wise and that trend should continue thru the witching hour on Sunday. Tony has you covered with a ghoulishly delightful weekend forecast.

Weather Treats on All Hallows Eve

The trick or treat season is off to a fast start with Thursday night’s influx of ghosts and goblins enjoying two-bag weather. For those not in tuned with the “Halloween-ese”, a 2 bagger is double-header of sorts whereby ideal weather conditions inspire the kids to make their rounds twice!

It was kind of a Goldilocks scenario at the Pumpkin-House in Kenova on Thursday night, as the weather was not too cold and not too warm but instead “just right”. So after filling their bags with loot, the kids dumped their valuable cargo off and headed out to do it again. Genuine 2 bag weather!

While at the Pumpkin Kingdom, I was decked out as “the Joker” of Batman fame. The folks from Magic Makers did indeed perform some witchcraft by outfitting me in the same suit that such stars as Jack Nicholson and Cesar Romero have donned over the years. With full makeup to add authenticity, I must say I had a blast taking on the Joker’s conniving personality. I had to rein back a bit as I think I really scared some kids with my out of control laugh. I did indeed, “dance with the devil under the pale moonlight”.

You be the judge if I should quit my day job as you view my mug.

This Friday night figures to be a busy one here in Charleston where I am working tonight. It starts off on the east end at the Zombie Walk for adults in the shadows of the Capital Market. Then after sunset, the scene shifts to local high school football stadiums where all sorts of student costume chicanery and scary band themes are planned. I will be at Oakes Field in South Charleston for the Black Eagle-Knights game shooting a bit for the 11pm news. Dress for an evening with temperatures falling into the 30s. Band boosters should get set for a run on hot chocolate!

If your neighborhood is holding Trick or Treat on Saturday night, you have picked the warmest night of the bunch with temperatures in the comfy 50s in towns like Louisa and South Shore Kentucky.

Finally, hats off to Wellston Ohio where pirates and princes and paupers will be trick or treating on All Hallows Eve Sunday night. Temperatures will be in the cool 50s as the sun goes down with no rain expected!
