HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Being a teenager bouncing from home to home to home is enough to take its toll on any 16-year-old boy or girl.

Nikki, our latest "Carrie's Kid," admits it's tough to look around and see other girls her age with a consistent family to love and support them.

Nikki is a laid back super smart young lady who knows what she wants out of life, and she'll quietly tell you that all starts with a forever family.

Here is a discussion between WSAZ.com's Carrie Cline and Nikki:

Carrie: What makes Nikki fun?
Nikki: I like to hang out with my brothers. I spend a lot of my time reading. Some people have music ability and some people have smarts. I have the smarts.

Carrie:What do you like to read?
Nikki: I like mysteries, James Patterson ...

Carrie: What about school? What are your favorite subjects?
Nikki: I like math and science.

Carrie: Perfect! That's where all the money is. What would you like to do when you grow up?
Nikki: I want to be a vet?

Carrie: What kinds of animals do you like the most?
Nikki: Horses.

Carrie: You said you had your life planned out through college. Tell me about that.

Nikki: I really don't know where I want to attend college, but I definitely know I'm going to college and I do want to become a vet. That's as far as I've gotten.

Carrie: What about outside of school. Do you like to spend time with friends or do you do your own thing?
Nikki: I kind of do my own thing. I like to play sports.

Carrie: What kinds of sports?
Nikki: I play basketball and softball. Anything but volleyball

Carrie: Do you play at school?
Nikki: I would love to play sports for school, but I think they're too competitive and they push you too much, so I'd just rather play for fun.

Carrie: Tell me why it's important for your to be adopted?
Nikki: I hate being placement because I think every kid should have a family.

Carrie: You’re 16. How tough is it to bounce around?
Nikki: It gets hard when the other kids are going on home visits and I'm stuck there.

Carrie: If you could pick your ideal family, what would the perfect family for you be?
Nikki: A slow family where they did everything together, but it wasn't all hectic and stuff. It doesn't really matter if it's on a farm or a big city.

Carrie: Do you want siblings?
Nikki: Maybe a couple, but not a whole lot.

Carrie: You already two brothers and they have been adopted and you keep in touch with them?
Nikki: Yes, that's very important to me.

Carrie: Do you have a temper, ever even raise your voice?
Nikki: No ... I'd rather be with family than friends. I think family is real important.

Nikki is currently living in a group setting with quite a few other girls and boys. It's not an environment she's thrilled with and longs for the peace of her own home. She has two brothers who have already been adopted and she maintains a relationship with them.

Carrie says she has met a lot of great teens and Nikkie is about as sweet as they come. If you'd like to learn more about how you can fulfill her dreams and make her a part of your family, someone is waiting to take your call at 1-866-call MWV or 1-866-225-5698.
