KNOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Being a foster child looking for a permanent home is hard work.

For many of the teens we've featured on "Carrie's Kids," it involves a lot of hoping, praying and dreaming that a family will eventually come for them.

Living under those pressures could easily make a child bitter. But, we've found just the opposite. They remain positive. Recently, we caught up with one of our teens we featured back in January. Austin is still waiting -- hoping this time, you'll make the call to bring him home.

Austin has a great sense of humor and is very athletic. He enjoys baseball, football and basketball. He says his grades are good, and he eventually wants to go into social service for a career and may be a social worker. He says he wants to help other young people like he's been helped.

If you'd like to learn more about how you can adopt Austin or want to see the other teens featured on "Carrie's Kids," head to our "Carrie's Kids" page.
