WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Being 16 and brilliant isn't easy. Just ask Vaunte, our most recent “Carrie's Kid."

Vaunte certainly makes it look easy though. He's a renaissance man who does it all.

He's a high school sophomore who lives life to the fullest. He's had a good start so far, but now really wants a forever family to share the rest with. WSAZ.com's Carrie Cline caught up with him recently at Camden Park for a little bad driving and a good heart-to-heart.

Carrie: You're 16, what do you like to do for fun?
Vaunte: I like playing basketball. I like sports other than golf.

Carrie:: Are you good?
Vaunte.: I'm the truth, I'm better built for football.

Carrie: You're in drama, tell me about that?
Vaunte.: I like acting.

Carrie: like Romeo and Juliet
Vaunte: It doesn't matter as long as it's a character that fits me and if it doesn't I'll adjust. I like to watch a lot of movies and I like to watch the behind-the-scenes. If my sports don't work, then I'm going to pursue my acting career. I like seeing myself on TV. I don't know what it is. I just like seeing myself on TV.

Carrie: So, you're going to enjoy watching this segment, huh?
Vaunte: Yes.

Carrie: You told me you're intelligent, how are you going to prove that?
Vaunte: I wish I had my schedule so I could show you, I'm taking all of the advanced classes.

Carrie: If you could pick the ideal family, what would they be like?
Vaunte: Real laid family that would allow you to have freedom, but knows the foundation of a family.

Carrie: You want some structure.
Vaunte: Yeah, but I want a little freedom.

Carrie: What is the best thing about Vaunte?
Vaunte: I'm laid back. I'm funny. I'm real sympathetic and compassionate about others and I have a big heart. I'm not really all about myself. I really like my personality and intelligence because I got a big head on my shoulders and nobody can tell me I don't. I'm confident.
