HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Hunting, animals, hiking -- anything outdoors makes Ray feel right at home.

The only thing that would make that complete is a family to share it with. Ray is 16 and proves you're never too old to recognize the value of a family.

He's hoping you'll make him a member of yours in this edition of "Carrie's Kids." Following is a conversation between WSAZ.com's Carrie Cline and Ray:

Ray: My dad's taught me everything I know about hunting. The first gun I ever shot was a 20 gauge.

Carrie: What's your favorite subject?
Ray: Does welding count?
Carrie: Sure/
Ray: Welding

Carrie: What do you want to be when you grow up?
Ray: I want to be a railroad welder. It pays $28/hr. It's better than where I work now.

Carrie: Where do you work now?
Ray: McDonald's. It pays $6.50/hr.

Carrie: Tell me about your ideal family.
Ray: It would be on a big farm where you could hunt.

Carrie: Do you want to be adopted?
Ray: Yeah, I want to be adopted on a farm because I like animals and I like horses and I like to hunt. I'd like to be in a place where I could shoot and no one would call the law on me.

Carrie: Why is it important to have a forever family?
Ray: I want a family that treats me good. I just want them to like me and do stuff with me, treat me good and stuff like that.

Ray is also a big fan of Chinese food, especially the noodles and crab Rangoon.
