HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Being a young teenager is tough enough with all of the emotional and physical changes. Being a young teenager in foster care is even more stressful.

Then, add the glare of a camera and you can imagine the pressure.

This week on "Carrie's Kids," we encountered our first camera shy child. Timothy was a little bashful about talking on camera but still wanted to share his story. So, we agreed to tell it for him.

Timothy is 14, but you can see he's a big kid at heart. We caught up with him at Camden Park where he was having a ball just having fun.

Timothy loves to be outside and hunt and camp. He just returned from an overnight mountain fox hunting trip that he can't stop talking about. He also loves to play sports, including basketball and swimming.

Timothy says he really likes school, especially history and enjoys working with his hands. He wants to be a mechanic when he grows up and rebuild cars and trucks.

Timothy loves Christmas and is certainly hoping this holiday season brings the start of the rest of his life with his new family. He is very family-oriented and loves to spend time with his foster family, playing board games and watching movies.

Timothy also has a great sense of humor and really had us laughing at Camden Park. If you'd like to learn more about him, he's waiting for you to call. His caseworkers are sitting at their phones and ready to answer your questions, as well as sending you on the road to making Timothy a part of your family. Just call 1-800-232-KIDS.
