HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The holiday season is right on top of us as little boys and girls cross their fingers and hope Santa honors their lists.

While video games, baby dolls and cool clothes top the list, there are some children who just want a family.

In this "Carrie's Kids" segment, Zachary is a 13-year-old boy who describes himself as a little bit country and a little bit cowboy. But, as you'll see, he's all heart.

Following is a discussion between WSAZ.com's Carrie Cline and Zachary:

Carrie: How often do you play video games?
Zachary: A lot

Carrie: You play all day?
Zachary: Yeah

Carrie: What's your favorite game?
Zachary: Spider-Man

Carrie: Why?
Zachary: Because he can use his web to shoot at lots of obstacles.

Carrie: Do you like to go outside?
Zachary: Oh, yeah

Carrie: What do you like to do outside?
Zachary: Ride bikes

Carrie: Do you like to fish?
Zachary: Yes

Carrie: What about school? Are you good in school?
Zachary: Oh, yes

Carrie: What's your favorite subject?
Zachary: Reading

Carrie: So, you're a good reader? Does that mean you like to write, too?
Zachary: Yes.

Carrie: What do you want to be when you grow up?
Zachary: A truck driver

Carrie: What makes you want to be a truck driver?
Zachary: Because they get more money.

Carrie: they make really good money and they get to travel. Are you a big traveler? (Zachary nods) Where is the most exciting place you've every traveled to?
Zachary: Florida

Carrie: What did you do there? Did you go to Disney World?
Zachary: No

Carrie: Oh, well you'll have to go back and go to Disney World.
Where would you like to go go if you could go anywhere in the world?
Zachary: Tennessee

Carrie: Why?
Zachary: To live there

Carrie: Why do you want to live there?
Zachary: Because they got Dixie Stampede, good ole chicken, shows, country girls down there.

Carrie: You said you're a country boy, does that mean you like country music? What kind of music?
Zachary: Trace Adkins

Carrie: Why is it so important for you to be adopted?
Zachary: So a family that can love me

Carrie: That's a big deal isn't it?
Zachary: Yep.

Carrie: If you could pick your ideal family, what would they be like?
Zachary: I don't know.

Carrie: Would you have brothers and sisters?
Zachary: Yes

Carrie: Would you have pets?
Zachary: Yes

Carrie: What kind of pets?
Zachary: A dog

Carrie: What's the best thing about Zachary?
Zachary: I'm cool

Carrie: You are a pretty cool dude. Anything else you want people to know?
Zachary: That I'm funny.

Carrie: Do you have any jokes?
Zachary: No, not really

Zachary says his ideal family would include siblings -- brothers and or sisters and a dog. He's also an adventure seeker and said he'd love to ride a bucking bronco and do some tricks on one. He used to own a cowboy hat, but said one of his classmates took it.

But, as you could see, Zachary is a pretty laid back, easy going super sweet young man. He's in the 7th grade. If you'd like to learn more about him, you can call Mission West Virginia at 1-866-CALL-MWV.
