Armed Robbery Suspect Shot by Employee, Released from Hospital and Arrested
Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies have issued an arrest warrant for the man who they say attempted to rob a video lottery parlor early Wednesday morning. The man was shot by an employee and is in the hospital.

ELKVIEW, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man deputies say was shot by an employee at the gambling parlor he was trying to rob was arrested Saturday.

Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Chad Wehrle, charging him with armed robbery.

Deputies say Wehrle tried to rob Teresa's Café in Elkview, armed with a shotgun. An employee grabbed the gun and shot Wehrle, sending them to the hospital.

Wehrle was released from the hospital and arrested Saturday.

ELKVIEW, W.Va (WSAZ) -- Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies have issued an arrest warrant for the man who they say attempted to rob a video lottery parlor early Wednesday morning. The man was shot by an employee and is in the hospital.

The warrant has been issued for 30 year-old Chad Wehrle. Police believe he's the man who walked into Teresa's Cafe in Elkview, demanded money and told everyone to get on the ground. Police say he was carrying a shotgun and wearing a red bandanna covering his face.

But a worker at the cafe managed to grab a gun and shot at Wehrle. Police say he ran from the video lottery parlor and shot several times at the building.

Wehrle later showed up at the hospital. He is listed in serious condition at CAMC.



ORIGINAL STORY
ELKVIEW, W.Va (WSAZ) -- A man trying to rob a video lottery parlor got more than he bargained for early Wednesday morning.

The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office tells WSAZ.com that early Wednesday morning a man walked in to Teresa's Cafe in Elkview, demanded money and told everyone get on the ground. The suspect was wearing a red bandanna covering his face and was carrying a shotgun.

The cafe worker had a different idea and rose from the floor with a gun and fired two shots. Investigators with the Sheriff's Office believe one of the shots hit the suspect.

The male suspect immediately ran out of the building and began to fire the shotgun at the outside of the building before he fled the scene.

Investigators are looking for a man described as a white male, between 25 and 30 years of age, 5'8-5'10" and 180 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing and a red bandanna.

There is no proof that this worker even hit the guy he was shooting at! Theres no blood at the location and the guy was shooting a 44 mag. There would be blood everywhere!! If you know anything about guns you will understand this!!!

Everyone seems so tough on this anonymous blog. Go tell him or one of his brothers how glad you are he was shot and see how that works out!

I live in Pinch Wv and it is a nice neighbor hood. It is a quite place to live, not munch happens here. So keep you mouth shut about Pinch WV. I have lived here all of my life.
