CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Kanawha County's wellness director has been fired after discrepancies were found in the county's Weight Watchers accounts.

The Kanawha County Commission voted unanimously Thursday to fire Susan Dunn. Commissioners cited Dunn's lack of accounting and said she refused to help determine what happened to the money.

Dunn was in charge of collecting money for the accounts. She also had served as Commissioner Dave Hardy's administrative assistant.

Dunn's attorney, Mike Clifford, said he expects to file a lawsuit over her dismissal.

Good for the Kanawha County Commission! It's about time crooked, freeloading department heads are cleared out. Now if only Putnam County will follow suit and clean house on their worthless department heads, who embezzle funds and don't show up for work half the time we'll be getting somewhere! You know who you are! ;)
