CHARLESTON, W.Va (WSAZ) -- Police have released the name of the man killed in a car crash on Kanawha Boulevard in Charleston over the weekend.

Police tell us Johnathon Moss died when his car crashed head on into a truck near the Moose Lodge.

Investigators say they think his car may have hydroplaned and crossed the median into the oncoming truck.

The driver of the truck was taken to CAMC. His name and condition have not been released.

Saturday: A portion of the Boulevard was closed for a couple of hours from Wertz Avenue to Eastpoint Drive.

The accident happened just after 2 p.m.

We know at least one other person was taken to the hospital.

This is such a tragic event. My thoughts go out to the families of everyone involved. The Kanawha Blvd is a dangerous road in the rain. Water sits on it really bad.

I knew Jonathan what seems like a hundred years ago. The last time I saw him he was the same sweet guy I remembered. Always happy to see you and always making everyone laugh. What a terrible tragedy. His family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jonathan was a wonderful person- always had a smile on his face and a hug (along with a plethora of silliness) for his friends. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, my friend. I love ya'. :'(
