STONECLIFF, W.Va. (AP) -- An adventure along the New River doesn't require getting into the water.

Just drive secondary Route 25 from between the communities of Prince and Thurmond.

The 15-mile route offers dozens of breathtaking views of the New River. The narrow, cliff-hugging, guardrail-free road also provides motorists with dozens of breathtaking driving challenges.

Thayer is the only settlement along this stretch of the Gorge. The town with its year-round population of 20 is bisected by an active set of railroad tracks.

Much of the route passes by old coal camps and railroad loadouts, including the remnants of a former miners hospital.

Today, a lot of route passes through land managed by the New River Gorge National Rive

These children and adults with Autism in our state, need this bill to pass. Don't they deserve to get the care and treatments that they need?
