CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Shoppers can expect new things at Gabriel Brothers at the Kanawha Mall in Charleston.

The department store celebrated its grand re-opening on Thursday.

The store's manager tells WSAZ.com the store has made several changes to benefit its customers.

The biggest change is what the store calls a "customer friendly layout." Some of the changes include a new furniture store, public restrooms, wider aisles, expanded toddler section, and new products throughout the store.

"Gabes" opened in Charleston in 1993. The store just celebrated 15 years in the Kanawha Valley.

The store's manager tells WSAZ.com that "Gabes" has been a success because of its commitment to low prices.

Sometimes I can search all day and not find anything. Next day I can go back and find a ton of things that I want. Sometimes it smells like a mildewey basement.
