UPDATE: Miner Critical Following Weekend Accident
A miner who was injured Saturday in a Cabin Creek mine is in critical condition.

CABIN CREEK, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A miner who was injured Saturday in a Cabin Creek mine is in critical condition.
According to a mine safety official, 28-year-old Jason O'Neil of Pratt was trapped between a shuttle car and a mine wall. The accident happened at the Speed Mine.
O'Neil has been a miner for five-and-a-half years.
MSHA is still trying to figure out what caused the accident.

CABIN CREEK, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A miner got trapped between a shuttle car and a mine wall at work Saturday.
A spokeswoman for the state says right now they don't know how badly the miner was injured.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. at the Speed Mine, in Cabin Creek, which is in the eastern part of Kanawha County.
Members of the Miners Health Safety and Training Office are investigating.
