CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- When it comes to reviews of local restaurants, all you need to do is follow the fork.
"The idea was born over lunch," Susan, one of the bloggers said.
Susan and her friends started their own food blog over a year ago after they wanted to voice their frustration over a bad meal.
"We had a not good experience and thought it would be nice if there was a resource where folks could go to learn about local restaurants and know what to expect," Susan said.
Susan agreed to talk with us on camera, but asked we keep her identity revealed as much as possible so she can continue her reviews.
"We don't want people to know who we are," Susan said. "If we go into a restaurant to review it, we want to review it like other regular people. So, if people knew what we were up to, we might get different service and it wouldn't be an objective review."
So far, the blog already has over 100 reviews of restaurants in West Virginia. The blog is also gaining popularity through other online means like UrbanSpoon reviews and Twitter.
Susan credits that success to the blog's staff, which she says truly offers something for everyone.
"People that are reading it can get to know each of us, and figure out which ones they relate to best," Susan said. "Then they'll have someone they can say "oh if that person liked it, then I will probably like it too."

Maybe it has something to do with Huntingtons crime rate. Maybe they don't want shot. Maybe they don't want to be around a bunch of obnoxious blundering herd fans. Maybe instead of crying some of you could start a blog for Huntington.
I have read the Fork You blog for a while now. They are honest and fair in their reviews and they have come down to Huntington area before. If some people would quit complaining and start a blog like this for the Huntington area, then I am sure people would read it.
Sorry Huntingtonians, we don't get that far west very often. Half of our writers live in Charleston proper so they think driving to Cross Lanes requires a passport. Prior to Fork You, we have enjoyed meals at Rocco's 21 Club, Blackhawk Grille and Porfirio's (currently Three Amigos) just to name a few. We'll try harder to get to Huntington/Barboursville for some reviews.
