CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Six West Virginia communities are being honored for their efforts to beautify and clean up their corporate limits.

Beech Bottom, Bluefield, Dunbar, Fayetteville, Ranson and West Union were named Friday as the winners of the 2009 Clean Communities Award.

Each community will receive two road signs designating them as clean communities.

The program is part of the Make It Shine program within the state Department of Environmental Protection.

Yes, Kenova fails all the way around. Every time Kenova is mentioned in a story on WSAZ, there are tons of comments posted by the citizens speaking out on how they dislike Kenova. Our fees have only increased since he has been mayor, and we see nothing for it except our overzealous cops who now will be patrolling the interstate, and I bet we don't see anything from that either.
