This service is brand new and considered a "beta version" for now, meaning it's still in development and testing. Occassionally, there may be glitches in the system that could cause issues in the delivery of alerts. We ask that you report any bugs to closings@wsaz.com.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
QUESTION: Is this a free service?
ANSWER: Yes, this is a free service offered by WSAZ. However, you may be charged a fee for each text message if you are not signed up for a text message plan with your cell phone or mobile device carrier.
QUESTION: How do I sign up for more than one organization?
ANSWER: Unfortunately, you have to fill out the form for each organization that you wish to receive alerts. After you fill out the form, hit "refresh" in your browser to bring up the form again. We are currently working with our vendor to try to make it so you can sign up for more than one organization at once.
QUESTION: I don't see my school in the list. What do I do?
ANSWER: No need to worry. That means that individual school is not in our closing system. You should sign up for the school district, instead. Please contact your school and encourage them to contact us to add the school to our closing system.
QUESTION: I'm having trouble signing up. What do I do?
ANSWER: Click here to e-mail our administrator for help.
QUESTION: How do I UNSUBSCRIBE from the alerts?
ANSWER: Click here to e-mail us your unsubscribe request to closings@wsaz.com. Be sure to include the e-mail address you want removed from the system.
QUESTION: What does "expiration time" mean in the signup form?
ANSWER: During the signup process, you may choose for how long you'd like to be subscribed to alerts for that particular organization. This may be helpful if you have a child in an elementary school for two more years, and you know that you will not want to receive alerts beyond two years from now. The option for "perpetual" means you'll always be signed up to receive alerts for that organization.
QUESTION: How do I know I'm signed up?
ANSWER: You will receive a confirmation e-mail when you first sign up to confirm that your e-mail address is valid. If you do not receive the e-mail, check your spam folder or junk mail folder. You must click on the link to activate your alert.
QUESTION: I signed up, but I did not receive the confirmation e-mail, nor am I getting e-mail alerts. What's wrong?
ANSWER: The confirmation e-mail and all following e-mails are likely being caught in your spam filter. Check your spam folder and/or junk mail folder to see if the e-mail is there. You may need to contact your systems administrator to allow messages from our system: "closings@wsaz.com"
QUESTION: There are several schools listed in my school district, plus the entire district. Which should I sign up for?
ANSWER: You should sign up for all that you want to get alerts. For instance, if you are only signed up for the school district and just the high school is closed one day, you will not get an alert. You will also not get an alert if you sign up for a high school and the entire district is closed.
QUESTION: I am signed up, verified my e-mail address, but I'm not getting any alerts. What should I do?

QUESTION: How many different schools or districts can I sign up for?
