CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ)-Farmers and backyard growers across
West Virginia have a chance to get their names in the record books.

The state Department of Agriculture says anyone with a garden
can make a run at breaking the state records for largest fruits or
vegetables. But they'll need to start now.

The contest is open to any fruit or vegetable grown in West
Virginia during 2010. A Department of Agriculture representative
will verify the plant's size.

Entrants should mail photos of their plants to Tom Clark, West
Virginia Department of Agriculture, 1900 Kanawha Blvd. East,
Charleston, WV 25305. Photos also can be submitted by e-mail.
