HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- For most birds during this time of year, having a free handout goes a long way in keeping them healthy through the winter.

Green thumb expert John Marra shows you how to properly go about feeding our feathered friends.

If you are bothered with squirrels getting into your bird feeders, a funnel like "baffle" that hooks on the feeder pole is available. It keeps squirrels out of the bird feeder.
