If you give your children Robitussin or children's Dimetapp there's a recall you need to know about.

The Robitussin and Dimetapp products are being recalled because the dosage cup that comes with them does not have a half-teaspoon mark.

A half-teaspoon is the recommended dose for children age two to six. There’s nothing wrong with the medication itself.

Thank you. I've had this bottle of dimetapp for a few months now and I thought it was funny that it didn't have the 1/2 mark but I found a way to give it to my kids without over dosing them. If there's nothing wrong with the medicine then way should I wait until November to get more dimetapp when my daughter has a cold and this is the only thing that her doctor says is ok to give her. I'm with you, I don't believe that who ever does these recalls even thinks or maybe they just don't think we can figure out things our.I guess their really just trying to cover themselves. Just in case someone does over dose a kid and decides to claim it was because of the 1/2 mark not being on the cup. But I think they could just let everyone know this happened and tell everyone to use the droppers from the pharmacy until they could send out new cups. But I guess I should have thought about them having to take care of the legal side of things too.At least we know theres 3moms who know what we're doin.

I understand that the people doing the recall have the best of intentions. However, if the medicine cup doesn't have the 1/2 tsp mark, I think that parents can find something to give it to their kids. Pharmacies give you medication droppers. Sometimes I feel that the ones doing these recalls do not think that parents have enough sense to take care of their kids.

umm thats whay u have med droppers at home so u can make sure its on the spot where it needs to be i'm sure if it don't have a 1/2 on it you will find a way to get it a 1/2 i'm sure you don't want to overdose your kids and take the chance on killing them. well then again there are some parents whom don't love and care about there kids the way others and i do i love my kids and would kill for them
