Deputy makes racially, politically charged posts on social media

MASON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A sheriff's deputy in Mason County has posts on social media that some may find offensive.
An anonymous source sent WSAZ screen shots of a few different racially and politically charged Facebook posts. The source told WSAZ the posts came from a deputy's page.
WSAZ confirmed with a Mason County official that the page does belong to a sheriff's deputy.
One of the posts says "Baltimore! Enough said" and shows a picture of African-American people protesting on top of a car, and underneath it is a picture of monkeys on top of a car.
Another post says, "I would have just kept driving and if they step out then I would try and get the highest score! LOL."
That post is making reference to a story about protesters who lined the streets in Arizona.
Pictures of both of the posts are attached to the story.
The deputy has been on staff for six years.
Sheriff Greg Powers declined to comment on the situation, so WSAZ has decided not to release the name of the deputy in question.
WSAZ will continue to check in to see if any sort of disciplinary action will be taken.
