KANAWHA Co., W. Va. (WSAZ) -- Nitro's Mayor, Dave Casebolt says the city has renewed its contract with the cable provider, but now with a few changes.

Under the new deal, Suddenlink will be responsible for establishing communication with a customer that has filed a complaint within four hours, this is a feature customers in the area didn't have before.

The agreement also includes a free channel for the city, to broadcast any meetings or events happening in the area.

It will also keep franchise fees at the same rate for the next ten years.
