POCA, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- No one at the Rite Aid Distribution Center in Poca will lose their jobs, but some associates will no longer be guaranteed an eight hour shift.
The company made the announcement during a meeting Monday.
The Director of Public Relations, Cheryl Slavinsky, tells WSAZ.com 49 associates received the news Monday, but this may not be a permanent situation.
"As any business in this economic environment, its only prudent that we operate as efficiently as possible and adjust staffing needs to the needs of our business," Slavinsky. "We are making every effort to keep our associates working and to try to avoid the permanent layoffs that so many companies are making."
