A popular television judge was a bit shaken by Tuesday's earthquake in California.

Judge Judy was in the middle of taping an episode when the courtroom started to shake.

The clattering in the courtroom caused everyone to look for an exit. Even Judge Judy left her bench.

After a few tense seconds, the trembler tapered off and calm was restored.

If you all dont like the news WSAZ reports, why do you people still come to the site and read it....people complain just to hear themselves talk.

What Tex? That comment made no sense and you need to learn how to spell words in the english language.

There is local news, and there is national news. It's all news, and it is all covered. Reiterating what someone else said earlier, there are people in the tri-state that have family living all over the US and all over the world at that. Should we stop telling families what's going on in Iraq because it's not local?

Posted by: na on Jul 31, 2008 at 09:20 AM
she didn't think about telling others to clear out right then just herself she should have everyone to clear out or get down. but I didn't see anything funny but I do love watching WSAZ so keep up the good work WSAZ & I am so glad we don't have that here in Logan [earthquakes] I am glad. but I have been told she is TOUGH & MEAN maybe we should have woman like her here on these bad crimals that gets away with a lot. put the rollings under alot of crimals.

I find it interesting, but this is one mean judge, I watch her and gosh she is very mean. lol

Some of us have family in California and do find this interesting (I personally have lived in Cal and been through these quakes and let me tell ya, they're not fun by any means) so yeah, I'm glad WSAZ aired this, Thank You WSAZ.

Well, I guess this put a clinker in the ole bitty's ruling. Yeah, Judy wasn't prepared for the rock of her life. Now bad boys, bad boys what you gonna do?

Posted by: sue on Jul 30, 2008 at 10:18 PM
That is interesting but there have been 2 serious accidents right here locally in the past week or two. One on State Route 1458 in Flatwoods and the other on US 23 and Pond run both accidents had someone flown out to the hospital and you never hear anything about those stories. Local news should give us the local news. These stories didnt even make it in the Daily Independent in Ashland. I know we are in KY and the news station is in WV but it would be nice to hear about the things that happens around us and to see how those people are doing.

Why don't you do a story on the people who really were affected by the earthquake.

Wow, inste

I loved this. CNN bored me to death talking about it all day. This is what I want to see- news as it is happening. Thanks WSAZ. And Tex you are too funny.

WISH WE HAD A JUDGE HERE IN LAWRENCE COUNTY LIKE (JUDGE JUDY) SHE GREAT! HAPPY DAY

Posted by: Anonymous on Jul 30, 2008 at 09:44 PM
Thanks for sharing the video WSAZ. We do not live there but it gave us some insight on how people reacted to the quake.

Hey, I think WSAZ has, by far, the most interesting newscast and website of the 3 or 4 local stations. Regarding Judy, did ya notice how she headed for the hills when she realized what was "shaking" (no pun intended)? I figured she would have changed into her 'Super-Judge' suit and stopped the quake like Superman did back in the days of old. I must admit, I really dislike her as a judge. But she is like a car wreck...you have to watch.

I think it is interesting. Thanks, WSAZ. You're the best.

this made the news because all us white trash are in tv coma's waiting on our wellfare and ssi checks so we can get our loratabs and oxycontin .but some of us were out stealing copper wire and other salvage metals during the judge judy quake .its our closest tie to high culture .

hell hath no fury like a woman shaken

WSAZ does a great job reporting the news. Sometimes, what may be uninteresting to you may spark interest in another viewer. Im sure you three could do no better at the job.

Posted by: Angie on Jul 30, 2008 at 06:00 PM
I would just like to point out that there are many people in our tri-state area who are very critical of WSAZ, and our state of WV as a whole. If you don't enjoy what WSAZ is covering in their newscast, or on their web site, find a new site.

It's so sad that this made the top headline of the day. Way to go WSAZ!

Posted by: Anonymous on Jul 30, 2008 at 05:16 PM
Wow, this is really local news. Thanks again WSAZ!

Posted by: jessica on Jul 30, 2008 at 04:52 PM
haha. she took off running didnt she.. lol!!!!

Posted by: OMG on Jul 30, 2008 at 02:45 PM
Did you watch the video and see Judge Judy just leave? She didn't warn anybody or anything, just got up and left? I can't believe that.

Posted by: ... on Jul 30, 2008 at 02:44 PM
Haha, why did THIS make the news?

Posted by: anon on Jul 30, 2008 at 02:11 PM
So will this show be aired? The filming was already in progress and they can't just go back and start from the beginning because this isn't acting.
