CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Want to see your town on the silver
screen? The West Virginia Film Office can help.

It's hosting a series of community workshops on what to expect
when a movie crew comes to town and how to become known among
moviemakers as a "film-friendly" venue.

Film office director Pam Haynes says producers of feature films,
TV programs, music videos and commercials are always looking for
locations, and West Virginia is becoming a popular choice.

The workshops will be held in Wheeling Sept. 18, in Martinsburg
Oct. 3 and in Charleston Oct. 6.

Haynes says tax incentives recently approved by the Legislature
should help West Virginia compete more effectively with other
states.

The workshops will explain how the incentives and the Film
Office work.
