The man died at a Kanawha County hospital on the night of November 10. He was in his 50s.

According to a news release, while confirmatory results for this individual are not available, surveillance data shows that the overwhelming majority of such circulating influenza A viruses are currently being confirmed as Swine Flu (H1N1).

"While we are saddened by yet another life claimed by influenza in our county it only reaffirms our continuing efforts to make available the 2009 H1N1 vaccine to as many people as rapidly as possible," Dr. Gupta said.

Director of the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department Dr. Rahul Gupta tells WSAZ.com the man was in his 50s.

Dr. Gupta said the man had been in the hospital for a while, but he's not sure if it was related to flu-like symptoms.

Dr. Gupta also pointed out this man had a long history of illness.

"This is a reminder, a sober reminder to most of us, if that's the case, that we all need to be careful and we need to be taking prevention methods, as well as, the vaccine," Dr. Gupta said.

No other details are being released at this time.

This will be the second death in Kanawha County, if health officials find this latest death is in fact related to Swine Flu.
