South Point Mayor Dies
Village officials said Robert Armstrong died at his home Monday night.

SOUTH POINT, Ohio (WSAZ) – An apparent heart attack has claimed the life of the mayor of South Point, Ohio.

Officials at the Village Hall said Robert Armstrong, 73, died at his home Monday night.

Armstrong was sworn-in as mayor on February 19. He replaced Bill Gaskin who died earlier that month.

Before becoming mayor, Armstrong was a member of the South Point Village Council. He started on council in1967.
