Man Killed After Tractor Trailer and SUV Collide
A man was killed in an early morning crash along Route 44 in Logan County.

LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man was killed in an early morning crash along Route 44.

It happened in the Switzer area about 4:00 a.m. Friday.

State Police say Ralph Greene, of Davin, died after his SUV crashed into a tractor trailer.

Troopers say the vehicles were traveling in opposite directions and are still trying to figure out what caused them to collide.

Ralph was a fellow member of our graduating class Group 69 at the U.S. Mine Safety & Health Academy in Beckley, WV. His fellow class members from Penn., Kentucky, Tennessee and Oklahoma mourn the loss of Ralph "Buzz" Greene.

No matter who crossed what line or how it happened. A good man and father is lost.. I wish the best for his wife and family. We will have them in our thoughts and prayers!!! R.I.P. Mr. Greene.....

It was ruled that Mr. Greene crossed the center line and hit the truck....
