CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- CAMC is planning to build a comprehensive cancer outpatient center on the former Watt Powell Park property in Kanawha City.

According to the news release, The CAMC Foundation has bought the University of Charleston's portion of the property for $2,070,183.36.

In November 2004, UC paid $5,000,055 for the property. Then, the CAMC Foundation bought 60-percent of the property for the university. Now the hospital owns the entire piece of property.

The University of Charleston purchased the property to build an athletic facility, but the school announced earlier this year it would not be building it as originally planned.

Watt Powell Park was demolished in 2005.

Raises cut, understaffed, overworked, bad financial year, huge administrative bonus's, buying like mad, spend,spend,spend.. and they have the nerve to ask the employees to donate money for this also.

Now how did one of these poor little hospitals afford this? All they ever do is cry about how much money they are losing.
