UPDATE 9/5/10 @ 8:45 p.m.
PINCH, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two men were arrested Saturday night in Pinch, after Sheriff's deputies caught them driving a truck full of meth making supplies.
According to the criminal complaint, 45-year-old James Linville and 37-year-old Harley Mollohan were in the truck.
Deputies in Pinch ran the plates on the blue Chevrolet Linville and Mollohan were in, and found they were registered to a Ford Escort. Deputies say they flashed their lights signaling the truck to pull over -- but it kept going.
The criminal complaint says while the chase was going on, the truck hit another car and almost hit the deputy's cruiser. Deputies say they had just signalled dispatchers that they would be stopping the pursuit because the truck was driving recklessly on a road where children were playing. Shortly after, the driver of the truck lost control, driving into a mailbox and crashing.
Deputies say Linville and Mollohan jumped out of the car and took off running. A deputy was able to catch up with the men and bring them back to the cruiser.
Mollohan admitted there will illegal items in the truck, according to the criminal complaint. A deputy said Mollohan told him there were materials used to make meth in a duffle bag and a suitcase. Deputies say they could smell the supplies from outside the truck.
Inside the truck deputies found bags of items used to make meth.
Linville and Mollohan have been charged with operating or attempting to operate a meth lab and conspiracy.
Both are being held in the South Central Regional Jail.
UPDATE 9/5/10 @ 6 p.m.
PINCH, W. Va. (WSAZ) -- What started as a routine traffic stop in Pinch Saturday night, turned into a much juicier story for police.
"I never dreamed it was a portable meth lab in my neighborhood," says Frances Dickey of Pinch.
Frances Dickey has lived in a quiet, country neighborhood of Pinch for 10 years. But that quiet was broken Saturday, when police tried pulling over a blue pickup truck, the driver taking off instead, sending them on a chase that ended in Frances' front yard.
"I wasn't sure what had happened," Frances tells WSAZ.com. "I thought the guy had been drinking or something because he hit my mailbox, my paper box, tore up my trash dumpster and the police were right behind him chasing and I never dreamed we are in the country."
What police found was suitcases and backpacks filled with meth making supplies like household chemicals, vials and tubing, but this is no shock for the Kanawha Count Sheriff's Department.
"It's something that's been a problem in the past, but we're trying to work on," Deputy W.S. Hunter Jr tells WSAZ.com. "The Kanawha County Sheriff's Department is doing their best to try to fix the problem."
The driver of the truck and his passenger were arrested after a short foot chase. Just another reminder that dangerous drugs are looming in places you would never expect.
The names of the two men arrested still have not been released.

This mans daughter was broken in half by this. She turned the news on and this popped up.
Think about this one: I'm a property owner whom also has the deed and also have a graduate degree, so guess what... The legal system (quite clearly) effects me differently than it does the average Joe, yet... I would also welcome a complete restructing of the entire united states legal system, but that's very unlikely to ever happen unless the united states federal government actually fails; which btw is a very distinct possibility. The legal system won't change because so much of washington is literally controled by lawyers that really don't care what the rest of the country thinks.
Alright, short stuff! I'm glad to see someone else believes in the chain gang. No, if only WV would do it.
