CROWN CITY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- It's been a frustrating week for people in Crown City as a string of arsons and thefts have hit folks on Wells Run Road.
"When I first walked into the barn that evening this is what I found, an empty spot," said Mark Wells. "I noticed my air compressor was gone."
A series of thefts late Wednesday night -- along with suspected arson -- has the community shaken.
Mike Rossiter's shed, something that was very sentimental to him, was burned down.
"I'll never be able to replace that shed with the same sentimental value that it had, cause that was grandpa's," says Rossiter. "Now I can't replace it because he's no longer around, and somebody burned it down.
While Rossiter was taking a mental inventory of everything that was taken from him, he found some empty beer cans left by the suspect -- along with a key piece of evidence.
"I looked down to my right and there was a wallet," Rossiter told WSAZ.com. "It had money and credit cards, ID right in it."
Rossiter gave the wallet to a sheriff's deputy. Victims hope it won't be long until whoever's responsible is brought to justice.
The Gallia County Sheriff says they've been talking with another agency that may be familiar with the owner of the wallet.
The state fire Marshal is also investigating.

find 'em and put 'em on a chain gang! Right, short stuff?
I kind of agree with some of the others. Finding the wallet makes me think it was lifted off someone else. Maybe even a setup. Sending the police off in a different direction.
finding a wallet doesent really prove anything that could have been stolen as well i couldnt really see a theif with cash and credit cards unless they did it for spite.
