Train Derails in Wayne County; Crossing Now Open
Ten cars of a coal train coming from a Wayne County mine derailed near the town of Wayne early Thursday morning.

WAYNE, W.Va (WSAZ) -- Ten cars of a coal train coming from a Wayne County mine derailed near the town of Wayne early Thursday morning.
Dispatchers say the derailment happened around 1:00 a.m.
The derailment blocked a crossing near the Morris Funeral Home for several hours. Our crew on the scene says that crossing is now clear, and traffic is again moving on Route 37 near the intersection with Route 152.
None of the ten cars that derailed tipped over. The cars were loaded with coal.
No word on what caused the derailment or when it will be cleared.

WAYNE, W.Va (WSAZ) - Wayne County Dispatchers say a train has derailed and has shut down a portion of Route 37.
The derailment happened around 1 a.m. Thursday morning, near Morris Funeral Home near the town of Wayne.
No one was hurt, and none of the cars tipped over, but the railroad crossing on Route 37 near the intersection with Route 152 is blocked.
This is just south of downtown Wayne
We're told it could be late morning before the crossing is cleared.
