Charlie Brown Marries Lucy

COAL GROVE, Ohio (WSAZ) -- After sixty years of hanging out on the comic strip, Charlie Brown and Lucy finally got married.

Charlie Brown and Lucy -- Lucy Murray -- got married Saturday in Coal Grove.

Cartoonist Charles Schulz introduced newspaper readers to Charlie and Lucy in 1950.

Pastor Jeff Canfield married the two real life Charlie and Lucy before God and more than 100 people at the Coal Grove Church of the Nazarene.

Lucy's daughter says the wedding reception had a "Peanuts" theme.

No official word on if Charlie Brown ever got the football from Lucy.
