CHICAGO -- Chicago police now say 13 people were shot in a mass shooting at a park in Chicago.

A 3-year-old boy was among those wounded.

Chicago Fire Department officials report the child is in critical condition. Two other victims are in serious condition, officials say.

Authorities say no one has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting.

CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago authorities say 11 people, including a 3-year-old child, were injured when a gunman opened fire on people in a park located in the city's Back of the Yards neighborhood.

Chicago Fire Department officials report the child is in critical condition. Two other victims were also in critical condition, officials say.

Officer Amina Greer says the shooting occurred shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday.

According to Greer, at least 10 ambulances responded to the scene, taking the victims to several different hospitals.

Authorities say no one has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting.
