It wasn't deer, but horses that cause traffic problems on Interstate 79 in Kanawha County.
One horse was killed and another hurt after being hit by some cars. It happened Sunday afternoon near the Big Chimney exit.
Deputies say the horses escaped from a nearby pasture and wandered onto the highway. Altogether, at least three horses got loose.
The state's veterinarian was called to the scene to help.

petowner, I was in NO way making light of it. All I said was my scary experience the same morning was put in perspective when I saw how much worse it could have been. Wow some people read into things, things and meanings that were NEVER intended!

Shame on those who think flippant remarks about a tragedy are so funny. What about the loss of a living being, the injury and frightening experience of the others as well as the loss the owners of the horses have endured. THERE IS NOTHING "FUNNY" ABOUT THIS.
