After beating #20 UConn Saturday, and thanks to losses by LSU and Kansas, the West Virginia Mountaineers moved up to #1 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and #2 in the Associated Press Poll.
In the Coaches Poll, WVU received 37 out of 54 first place votes.
Some analysts predicted the Mountaineers would move up to #1 in the AP Poll as well; however, WVU was bypassed by Missouri.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are now #3 in both polls.
