Police need your help in finding a missing man from Lawrence County, KY.
The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office says 29-year old Joseph “Tommy” Spurlock went missing December 14.
The sheriff says Spurlock called his wife that day around 1:45pm to say he was at a Paintsville motel waiting on a ride. Earlier that day, he told his grandmother that he had to meet someone at the foothills substation in Fallsburg for a ride.
Family members reported him missing on January 8
Sheriff Garrett Roberts tells wsaz.com that Spurlock checked into a Lexington hospital Sunday night to be treated for a gum disease. Roberts says he then spent Monday night at a church shelter in Lexington.
Spurlock is 5’6”, 165 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He has tattoo of an eagle on his right upper arm. The sheriff told a local newspaper that Spurlock has 2 missing front teeth the result of fight that happened in Portsmouth, OH. He also says that Spurlock is employed as a fiber-optics installer, which takes him to numerous cities around the country.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff at 606-638-4368
