WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va, (WSAZ) - West Virginia and Ohio State Police are still searching for Patty and Willard "Bill" Frye. The husband and wife have been missing since Thursday. Patty has dementia and Willard has Alzheimer's.

The couple's grandchildren say Patty also has diabetes and she does not have her medication with her.

They are from Crown City, Ohio but were last seen in East Lynn, West Virginia. Patty was driving. The family believes she may have been headed to Grafton, Ohio, where they lived for several years. However the family says they don't have any clues as to where they could be headed. And say their grandma gets confused easily and does not know her way around.

They are in a dark blue Ford Focus with Ohio registration DEZ-5765.

If you've seen Patty or Willard, call the Wayne detachment of the West Virginia State Police or your local police department.

UPDATE:
WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Family and friends are really starting to panic. Patty has dementia and is a diabetic. Willard is suffering from third stages of Alzheimer’s. Without medication, very little money and open roads, there's a concern to bring them home safely.

It’s been a long five days for Kathy Bernard and her brother Kenny. Their parents, Patty and Willard Frye went missing Thursday afternoon.

“Because she's a diabetic with no meds, she'll get worse,” Kathy Bernard said.

State police have searched high and low.

“We called out aviation this morning, flew around four houses, didn't find anything,” West Virginia State Police Trooper Lee Pennington said.

The Fryes drove from their home in Crown City to East Lynn. That's where they were last seen and family members believe they might have driven to their old home in Cleveland.

The couple's caretaker drove with them to East Lynn after an argument, and then Patty and Willard left.

“Caregiver got her to pull over to a store. Then they fought. Mom got the keys and sped away,” Bernard said.

Bernard says she knows her parents drove toward Wayne, but still no phone calls or leads to their whereabouts.

“We’re just trusting God will get them back and there's a lot people praying. We just hope they find that little blue car,” Bernard said.

Media outlets in northern Ohio and North Carolina are reporting the Frye’s disappearance. There are friends and family in both those areas who Patty and Willard might have gone to visit.

Anybody with information on their whereabouts should call 911. Again, the Fryes are in a dark blue Ford Focus.

Love to the Frye Family: From Barbara

Let me begin by saying thank you to all those that were praying for our family. My Mom and Dad were special people that showed Gods love to all they met. There were no strangers in their lives. Just to let you know the truth and where we are with all that has happened I wanted to for the last time let you know. Their deaths have been ruled due to exposure to the elements. The very long and hard delay was not to find actual cause, that was determined weeks ago but to legally identify my father. That was finally completed on Friday the 20th of this month. Mother was identified by her dental records but Daddy had dentures so they had to go back thru his medical records and just last week were able to get the xrays from a back surgery years ago to do a legal I.D. They will be released to us this week and they will, per their own wishes, be buried next to my brother in Northeast Ohio at the end of the week. It will be a simple service honoring what they wanted where they wanted.

I didnt know willard that well but I did get to know Patty. Patty was such a kind hearted person and I know Willard was the same from what times I spoke with him. From what year I spent with Patty I became close with her. My kids loved her a lot. I have memories that I will always have with Patty. My oldest daughter that is 12 loved spending time with Patty last summer. My daughter helped patty with planting flowers, patty had a tea parties with her and they played kick ball. My daughter said she will never forget patty or willard. My 2 youngest kids that is 3 and 5 loved her to. I remember last summer everytime they would see Patty outside they would yell Patty Patty and run to the fence to see and talk with her. Patty was the kind of person that would put a smile on your face the first time you met her. I want the family to know that patty and willard will be in my heart and I am deeply sorry for your loss of such to wonderful people. I will never forget them. Sincerely shannon

Dear Frye Family: My heart goes out to you. I know Pat and Willard from Christian Unity Church. They are my brother and my sister in Christ. They are wonderful Christian People who are right with the Lord. I love them dearly and I have fond memories of their wonderful testimonies and their beautiful songs of praise- Pat and Willard singing and Willard playing the guitar. I pray for peace for you and your family. God watches over His children. Pat and Willard Frye will forever be safe in God's arms for they are His children. The Lord does not come and go: He is with them always. He assures us that "...I will never leave thee nor forsake thee." (Heb. 13:5)and he also states "Be still and know that I am God." Whatever may come to pass, it is in God's hands. My heart does ache for your family, but may you find comfort and peace in the Blessed Assurance that the Lord will take care of His children. I love Pat and Willard very much. They are two very wonderful and kind-spirited Godly people.

Oh my goodness.. the nerve of you! If you knew the story you would keep your mouth shut. Why don't you put your name out there for us? Patty was beating my aunt and was going to run over her if she didn't get out of the way. What else could she have done. She is a mess, no mess isn't the word. She of course blames herself, but she did all she can do. I am not afraid to tell you my name, let me know yours. Bethany

Our deepest and most cherished thoughts and memories continue to replay in our minds..beautiful,and precious people that God allowed to dwell within our family and our hearts. What theyve left behind is impossible to be put into words..they are loved!I pray that this be a firm foundation that the family uses..helping step their way up to Christ.Thats all that grandma and poppa wouldve wanted. Gods honored her prayer, that they go together.I thank Him and Praise His Holy Name!As hard as this is,the hurt and the pain..I Lift up His Name, for somehow in a miraculous way,He comforts us and is holding us all the way!We chose to go to church last night regardless of our state-of-mind.He blessed! And I can just hear grandma and her precious voice singing over and over in my mind."For the God in the Mountain,Is still God in the Valley." Even now God still pushes through all pain and sorrow and annoints with her ever so sweet voice, that I pray will forever cont. to play in my mind.fryefamily@yahoo.

All condolences and prayers go out to this family. I can't not imagine what you have been through. With the accusations, and rotten comments you guys still kept a positive attitude. I did not know the couple, but they sure would have been proud. They seemed like good people. I'm terribly sorry for your loss. God bless you all & May you find the peace that you need.

This is my aunt and uncle. the care giver was another aunt, pattys sister. if you have watch the news you would know that it was a struggle and patty got very angry and aggressive. she grabbed the keys from the caregiver and she put up a major fight.. she already feels guilty, but she did all she couldve done. please dont be rude. we dont need this right now. oh and i think you meant sign an agreement, and not sing. you want to be rude, i can too.

Posted by: MY NANA HAD DEMENTIA on May 7, 2008 at 10:41 PM
GOD BLESS THE FAMILY ,MY PERSONAL THOUGHT ,THE CAREGIVER SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE!!YOU CAN'T LEAVE SOMEONE IN THIS CONDITION. CHERISH ALL MEMORIES THEY ARE PRICELESS.

Posted by: MY NANA HAD DEMENTIA on May 7, 2008 at 10:35 PM
WHAY HAPPENED TO THE CAREGIVER ? DONT THEY HAVE TO SING SOME AGREEMENT FOR THAT TYPE OF JOB?WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE SOMEONE IN THAT CONDITON ?

I agree with the granddaughter that spoke on the news. I think something just dont smell right with this whole situation.. Keep your heads up, but make sure justice is done for your grandparents! They were such great people and touched the hearts of many like me that had never even met them. I think everything should be investigated from the start, and completly rule out foul play! At least we know they are in heaven, and God bless the family!

we all hoped that patty and willard would be found safe. if the two people the police found today are them, this is a very sad ending to their story but now the frye family members know where they are and will not have to keep searching. my condolences go out to the frye family members. i wish this could of ended differently. frye family members take care of each other through this terribly tragic time. you can get through this even if it does not seem like it now.

Im sorry I couldnt be with you guys to help search this time but my prayers and thoughts are with you. your brother in The LORD

ok that other mary wasnt me , this is mary paul and mabels daughter, i'm praying that aunt Patty and Uncle Bill are found safe!!!

Posted by: Lisa on May 7, 2008 at 06:05 AM
To Mary, try being a little more sympathetic to the family. All they are asking is to keep the story out there so people remember to keep looking. I bet if it were your family you would be doing the same thing. Your comment refering to the family as "you poeple" was rude. HAVE A HEART!!!!!!!

Posted by: Anonymous on May 7, 2008 at 05:10 AM
I just saw on the news that the car was found over a hill in wayne county. It's awful to think of, but there has to be a since of relief for the family that they are one step closer! Prayer works. Everyone keep praying and bring them home.

Posted by: Bethany on May 7, 2008 at 04:05 AM
Mary, this is our family. My aunt and uncle. They can say..We want everyone to know that Patty and Willard Frye are still missing. The car has been found so thats a plus. Now we need to find them. And Mary, if this was your family you would want them to do the same. You never know what your future will hold, so back off of the smart comments! Thanks!

Posted by: Connie on May 7, 2008 at 12:13 AM
Praise God the car has been found. I do believe the fasting and praying was the key. I know God is in control and he likes to work when nothing else will. I praise his wonderful name.

i can't speak for the police. but it is my understanding unless they get a tip they have nothing else to go on. they have come to a standstill in their investigation. please keep looking every where you go. It is as if they have just vanished.

Posted by: anon on May 5, 2008 at 09:42 PM
Are the police still looking for this couple? Every time I take a drive or go to the barn, I look for their car. How can a couple just vanish and there is no more information given about it?

Posted by: sue b. on May 3, 2008 at 09:36 PM
i hope patty and willard are found soon. i wonder all the time where they could be. my parents have been dead for about 30 years but i just could not imagine what i would of done if they had just gone missing. i hope you know soon where patty and willard are. take care.

I am keeping the Faith, that we hear good news this week. I am sure someone has been touched and gotten closer to the Lord by this. That is what Patty and Bill would have wanted, for this to touch a heart and that person would surrender to the Lord.I have sent an Email to WSAZ and no comment has been recieved. I do believe after they are found I will no longer watch this news staion. I agree about the animal thing it was a Dog and now Horses. Don't get me wrong no one should be cruel to any animals.I Do think people, should be first. We will be having our family reunion this month, I am standing on the word of the Lord we will know something by then. Please all of the Christians lets agree and believe they will found. I Love them very much, I am a sister-in-law but I love them dearly. I know it is really getting the best of the Brothers and Sisters. Praise God we no that where ever they are at they are in the Loving hands of the good Lord. Serving the Lord was always first in there lif.

i didn't get to finish my comment addressed to ? on may ist. i wanted to finish by saying come on wsaz give us a break. it is my understanding you got the story about a mans dog in a tunnel at Genoa to go national. Can't you use your influence to help this family out. Shame on you if you have the capabilities to help find this couple and won't use them for that purpose.

Posted by: Linda on May 2, 2008 at 04:58 PM
to ? yes it is very likely they left the state. neighboring states have been alerted to watch for the vehicle. We believe a body of water is one possible scenario. As far as national attention only a bit here and there such as cnn.com. We keep trying but so far no luck getting it on. Seems the general public is more interested in the mistreatment of animals. That is if you go by what the local news channels are showing over and over. I wonder who they consult about the news priorities. i certainly am all for animal rights and love all creatures created by God but come on now people we are not a third world country who doesn't value our senior population. Yes two older people who are suffering from memory loss may not be able to contribute a lot to society but even their very presence is still valuable to the many who love them. give us a break here wsaz. Use your Influence to get this national As i understand you did the Dog stuck in a tunnel at Genoa.

Posted by: ? on May 1, 2008 at 08:58 PM
Is there a possibility that this couple left the state in their vehicle? Have neighboring states been alerted to watch for the vehicle? Has it gained national attention at all? Are they apt to have driven into a body of water? Surely the car is out there somewhere, and if it is found they can't be too far away. Keep looking... poor couple :o(

Thank you to all who are still willing to help even after all this time. We are beginning to see people give up in a since and fall back away from this situation. God help us please! We are still in torment...now even more so!Kathy thanks for even thinking to ask everyone to pray and fast together for grandma and poppa! We all have so many thoughts and feelings we are having to deal with daily. God 'does' know whats happened and thats all I can do to rest all my faith within Him that in His time we will all hear the news.We all love them so very much! If you ever met them, then you know that its so had not to just fall in love with the people that they are. They've loved me more than probably half of what my own family can say. They've been my mentors, and the light in my life personally that lead me in the right direction I was meant to be.Serving God.I love them and the family that has welcomed me with open arms.We are all trying to stand beside one another through this.God bless you all!

Just wanted to say that I will be praying and fasting with everyone else tomorrow from 12-4. My sister's church in Northern panhandle of West Va. are going to be fasting a praying also. I called her and she told her church this evening so they will be right along with you in agreement. I think and pray about this daily. It is one of the most saddest things, and I will never forget this as long as I live. God said HE is the Alpha and Omega..the beginning and the end. He cares no matter what the outcome and heaven is real and a wonderful place of eternal joy and peace. "IF" these two wonderful souls are not alive..then we know they are safe and happy "right now" in heaven rejoicing with their Saviour and the saints who have gone on before. God will answer and he will give closure. He is a mighty GOD and he will answer!!! I speak peace that passes all understanding to your hearts and minds!! May the God of peace keep your hearts and minds. The peace that passess all understanding be yours!

Posted by: Kathy on Apr 30, 2008 at 05:12 PM
Thank you every one for agreeing to pray with me on Thursday, I am expecting God to hear us!!!! To the person who asked about foul play of course the police checked into that! We all want answers but if you contact the Alzheimers Association you will find this is not unheard of when it comes to Alzheimers patients. We as the immediate children were trying to honor Mom and Dads wishes to remain in their home for as long as possible. They were with a care giver at the time of their disappearance. It was not unheard of for the care giver to take them to a Drs. appt. or even to the store or out to lunch. Unfortuneatly you cannot predict an "episode" when they loose touch with reality and become aggresive which is what happened in this case. Please pray that God will lead us to them. We the family believe they are alive out there somewhere but confused and unaware of their surroundings.May God bless all of you

Posted by: Melissa on Apr 30, 2008 at 05:08 PM
I think that maybe some better photos of the couple should be distributed if available.. maybe that would help? The ones at the top of the story are good, but they need to be enlarged. Just a thought. I'm still praying for you all, and I e-mailed Nancy Grace and AMW.

I'm only asking this because I'm concerned. I read this story often and it saddens me to know that what seems to be such wonderful people, are 'still' missing.Surely theres something being investigated. More than whats being said. Are the authorities checking on foul-play??I feel so sorry for the family, and I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but there are alot of stories out there similar to this one..where the elderly couple seems to be a so-called hassle for some, and its easier them being gone due to that and also an inheritance.I dont mean to step on toes, but surely the authorities are suspecting foul-play at this point..a good month and a half missing. They seem like they would be such a blessing to have as relation,or even a friend. I am praying and hoping that something is done soon. Its just impossible for no one to see them or their car. This story is out everywhere. I'll continue to pray, but hopefully God will reveal all.God does know all! My prayers are with the family.

we need this story to stay out in the news and in the fore front of peoples minds. i am so hoping that america's most wanted will have it on. i understand from posting on this site that a.m.w. is talking to some of the family. if it was on nationally i think that would really help. i hope that happens. they will be found, we just can't know when. maybe tomorrow. hope so.

Did this story run on WTAP? Parkersburg, Marietta, and Belpre are all river towns and their ohio plates wouldn't stand out, but perhaps you could get them to run their story and pictures again if they already did in the past. There has to be somebody who saw something, noticed them appearing confused, were behind them in line at the gas station something somewhere! Everyone please keep telling this story to every one you know, this family so desperately needs answers. Lets find Patty and Willard together and bring them home...

Posted by: ra on Apr 28, 2008 at 11:01 PM
I think about your family every day. I am so sorry for your family's ordeal. I hope you find them soon. My thoughts are with your family through this nightmare, and I will continue to look for them and their car everywhere I go...even if it's of little help.

As the daughter of Patty and Willard Frye I want to thank you all for your prayers and caring during this awful time and I would ask that you join me on Thursday May 1st from noon to 4 in fasting and prayer that God would lead someone to find them and call the authorities. We know the authorities are doing all they can with no real leads but our God can turn His light on them in a moment! Please join me as united we seek Gods help in bringing Mommy and Daddy home, there is real power in the cries of Gods children, mountains can be moved and lost ones can be found!!!!! God bless you all!!!!Call every one you know to join us in prayer as well!!!!with much love kathy

I just want to tell everyone that I am still looking and doing all I know to do. I also have sent e-mails and links to many large news stations. I think that if everyone keeps at it and sending out those e-mails that, they will see just how much we need their help and hopefully will do something about it. I know that many family members who live in Ohio will be coming in next month. Hopefully we will have goods news and can celebrate as a family. I love you all. Just keep the prayers going up and pray for the other situations that are taking place in our family.

Posted by: Melissa on Apr 24, 2008 at 07:26 PM
I am definitely going to e-mail Nancy Grace because she is such an advocate for missing people and a genuine person. I will also make sure to send an e-mail to AMW. I'm going to help as much as I can. I think of the Frye's each time I drive through Wayne County and I am totally and completely upset and puzzled by the whole situation. May God give you strength, family! You're loved by many.

I can't believe that this couple still has not been recovered. I know that it must be horrible just not knowing where they are and not having closure. I am praying for your entire family, as I'm sure many others are. I wish AMW and other news outlets would get this out. They need to take this seriously!

Hey everyone. I haven't commented for a while cause I really don't know what to say. I keep hoping and praying everyday I will get a phone call and tell me that they found grandma and pop-aw. Has anyone talked to the police lately? What are they saying? I haven't hardly talked to anyone lately. I feel like since I don't have any good news, I should just keep to myself. I love everyone and still praying that we will find them soon. Thanks to everyone for all of your help and concern. To my family I love you and hope we have some closure soon....God Bless

i wish a.m.w. would hurry up and have this on their show. i think that having it on nationally would really help find the fryes. i know the family has tried so hard to get this on nationally. maybe being on a.m.w. would get other shows and news agency to have the story on also. hope so.

My prayers are with you(the family). I personally know Willard and Pat Frye. I used to be a member at Christian Unity Church back in the 80s. They were a member there as well. I also been to thier home when they used to live in Litchfield. I will continue to pray for them and the family. Brother Alberto Negron

The minute I hear anything from AMW I will let you know. Its a blessing, them being interested in covering the story to help...on the other hand, its horrible just waiting on the word or response from them. We're still praying though! Keeping our eyes upon Him! He knows whats best for grandma and poppa.Thank you everyone! This really is a time when anyone who can help, will do the most good. We've had many from other areas far from here, go out and post flyers and call their media stations. Travel around searching for any sign of their car,and even call all their local hotels. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. No,we havent heard anything or found them yet....but God see's everyones helping hand in this. We just thank Him daily for you people! We love you all! Keep praying Gods Will!!! Frye Family

Please everyone lets bind together and pray. I know God Still answers Prayers. I know that if we could talk to them they would be very Pleased if this had touched someones heart and they would give there life to the. Well once again lets keep those prayers going up.

i wish i had more than just a few kind words for you frye family. i know you are trying as hard as you can. i really think this situation must feel like walking in a black tunnel without any light at the end but if a person just keeps walking, maybe the light will come in to view. i know when my sisters were murdered that is how it felt to me but i kept walking for my son's sake mostly. this situation does have an end and i so hope that it is a good end. from their pictures mr. and mrs. frye seem like good people and we don't want to lose any good people from this world. we need them too badly. take care and keep putting one foot in front of the other. if you get that much accomplished then you are in ahead.

People are so quick to judge someone when they themselves have not walked in their shoes. Live and let live. If you cannot be a little more supportive, then keep you comments to yourself. Hopefully they are found soon and I will keep an eye open for a little blue car with ohio tags. best of luck to the family.

Thanks so much to you all!Yesterday was grandpas birthday, which was so very hard to deal with.Him not being here to celebrate it over dinner with us,which is what we normally would do.Followed by him trying to accompany us in singing gospel songs. The family is just so tore up and and hurting in all of this.Yes,we all need answers! The family,as well as the wonderful people caring enough to keep up with this story! We thank you! As far as the amber alert..they have passed and alert called the Silver Alert!I am told it cannot be used yet,not even for an important case like this one.I cant even get straight answers as far as 'when' they can put this out there in use.Sue B,thank you for the kind words...we are trying all that we possibly can.Not only us,but the whole family as well.Americas Most Wanted hasnt even given me a forsure go ahead on when they will air the story.I'm pushing as hard as I can.But we can only do so much until God says it is time.HE KNOWS ALL!My faith rests upon HIM!

I want to say thank you to Mr.Michael Wooten. I sent him an e-mail a few days ago about giving an update and letting everyone know they are still missing. I got a response within hours from Mr.Wooten. It was on the news at 11 Tuesday night. The whole family is going through so much at this time. When it rains it pours and its really pouring on our family right now. Everyone please continue to look everywhere you go and continue to pray for our family. Once again, two thumbs up to Mr.Michael Wooten. Love to all!

I know some may think things dont look good, but the truth is this is someone's parents and grandparents. U must have faith in God that things will turn out the way he has planned. I have followed the story since day one, and checked on updates daily. I just pray everyday that they will be found and bring some closure to the family. I could not imagine what they are going through. My heart goes out to each and everyone of u, and just remember to stick together. Blame is not the issue now, finding them safely is. God bless u all!

to kayla and jerry. i think you are the grandson and granddaughter-in-law i met at the first search in east lynn. anyway i think it is wonderful that america's most wanted might help with this case. i know the process of trying to get help has been long and a real strain on your family but apparrently you are getting somethings moving along. just know that i think you are doing what is possible in this situation. if america's most wanted gets the story on i am sure it will help alot. you are doing a good job just keep trying. everything has an end this situation does too. take care.

Posted by: Jess on Apr 16, 2008 at 01:40 PM
I jus dont have the time to read through all the comments so excuse me if this has been asked be for...... Has anyone considered foul play? Id there anyone in your family who might benefit from their departure? I know its a hard thing to think about but it happens n considering it n thinking about it might help you find them i too think bodies of water near their home should be dragged asap......

Posted by: Update? on Apr 16, 2008 at 12:12 PM
When is WSAZ going to do an update and broadcast it? I have seen less important stories get more air time(not necessarily from wsaz). As viewers we would like to know where this is. Are there still searches being conducted? How many state police detachments have the flyers posted? Is there an APB on the vehicle? Can AMber Alert Help? I can't imagine what the family is going through. I also wonder if they left out of frustration from getting older and losing their memory. Maybe they flew out of the country? As long as they had money, anything is possible. How about credit card activity?

Posted by: Debbie on Apr 16, 2008 at 12:10 PM
I hate to say it, but my guess is the outcome is not going to be a good one. Maybe they should drag some bodies of water in the area. Two women in Ky. went missing a couple years ago and about a year and a half later they were found not far off a road in heavy brush, they'd been there the whole time and were not spotted. One was still in the car the other was found on the ground. Sad to say, I feel a similar outcome is likely.Very sad.

Posted by: Linda on Apr 16, 2008 at 11:21 AM
Debby no one thinks you were pointing a finger at anyone but Patty didn't know where her sister on 75 lived. She had never been there. Keep posting your comments we can't let this rest til they are found.

We have contacted Americas Most Wanted, and I am in the process of working with them...trying to get grandma and poppas pictures and story on the air. They have told me they are interested in the case, and will try to help! So please people, pray that this may be the Lord's will, and that all this goes well. I have sent them a few things and are to get back to me about what they can do. Thank you all for all the prayers and concerns. It means so much in this hard time!! We love you all. GOD BLESS!!! I think it's strange that these people with very little money on them have been gone this long without a trace of them being found. Have their accounts been used? Who saw them in Wayne County? Why isn't WSAZ putting this news out there? Something is very fishy here.

Posted by: sue b. on Apr 16, 2008 at 10:13 AM
i believe they will be found. we just can't know when. for the family's sake they need to be found. they could still be in the wayne/east lynn area but i think that is unlikely since they were driving. so it is hard to know where to actually decide to search but i will keep watching for them. my sympathy goes out to the rest of the frye family.

I have been following this story and I can't help but to think that they are close by. I keep praying they will be found safe, but the longer it goes on, the more I think they are close by. Have you checked every side road for signs of a car accident? Somebody surely would have seen them by now at a gas station or something?

Posted by: Edie on Apr 14, 2008 at 01:13 PM
Has anyone contacted the Major News Outlets, like NBC, CNN, FOX News? I know that at CNN their is a couple reporters that graduated from Marshall, and Matt Lauer on the Today Show worked here in Huntington. They might be able to do something, like post their pictures.

Posted by: Debby on Apr 14, 2008 at 07:19 AM
I hope with the comment I posted tht it was not pointing fingers but maybe that when they left Wayne and headed back towards Ohio or where ever. Just by reading the RTE #76 "sight" that mabe it could be RTE 75 where maybe Patty knew someone lived and maybe she tried to get help. When Patty got to Lavalette she tried to go back to her sisters (Rte 75). She may have been trying to get back to someone she knew and that she had been. My thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of you.

Posted by: Connie on Apr 13, 2008 at 08:57 PM
I am still trusting the good Lord, that we find Patty and Bill. This has taken a toll on the whole family, the not knowing. I just wish people wouldn't be pointing fingers at each other. We need to band together and PRAYER... that is the key thing. I Love them and miss them too. My sister died one night suddenly in her sleep, this has been almost three years. That was one of the hardest things, but we did have a closure. So any body that reads this please Pray.

Karen (my sister)is right about her friends "sighting" we both checked the route out, 76 goes through south carolina, i have been emailing the columbia , south carolina news papers to try and get them to cover the story and thats when i got on the trucker message board, they drive everywhere, somebody has got to know somebody down in that area to check it out, it is worth a try !! we have looked up north so much, maybe it is time to look south more

Posted by: Barbie on Apr 12, 2008 at 10:30 PM
I wont stop hunting either Mary no matter how long it takes.I love you all

Posted by: Debby on Apr 12, 2008 at 05:06 PM
Karen I know your friend had a "sight". Any thing is a help but could it be RTE 75 instead of RTE 76. Beacuse RTE 75 turns off at Lavalette which would be on the route where they left the Wayne area (also the road to the care takers home). I know any thing helps some times. So maybe RTE 75 instead of RTE 76 and real close to home also. Also RTE 775 runs out of Proctorville Ohio also. So maybe a long shot but worth the try.

I know this sounds crazy, but a friend of mine has a "sight". She "see" a black & white Rte 76 sign. There is a rt 76 in Virginia and in S. Carolina. She thinks they went off the road to avoid deer and the car is in heavy brush so is hard to see from the road. Maybe it's worth checking out. Is there anyone in those areas? If we can find the car, we can find them! At this point, anything is worth checking out. If anyone has contacts in those areas, please ask them to look. It's possible they may have gotten confused and got on the wrong road. She keeps saying that they are not where we think they should be. Isn't it worth checking out? Please help!

Have you all tried setting up a website or using a site like mysoace so people can look at pictures them and the care and just anything that might help. There's a place on there for people to leave messages and comments and that might help. Plus it might reach a bigger audience so maybe more people might know about it. The internet is a strong piece of communication and maybe if the more and more people knew what was goin on then maybe they can be found. I'll continue to pray for all the family and everyone who is helping the search. I pray that they are found healthy and safe!

How about emailing nursing homes and asking them to forward the emails on? How about homeless shelters? How about Churches? The word has to be put out everywhere. If they had enough money, they could be anywhere. How about checking airports? If her dementia came and went, they could have flown somewhere? Maybe bus stations, train stations...everywhere. I so wish that I could leave my job and offer help. This story has melted my heart for some reason. They look like such nice loveable people. God Bless all of you. Misty thank you for your offer of help. Anything you can do such as post flyers with their pictures in Litchfield or any other area you can think of. and always be on the lookout anywhere you go. Motels , parking lots etc. We appreciate you and everyone else for your genuine concern. Thank you Mark for the tips.

Posted by: Mark on Apr 9, 2008 at 09:56 PM
You have to find the vehicle first. How much fuel do you think the vehicle had, and what's the range? Start route searching. Look for any signs that a vehicle left the road, broken guardrails, etc. Did they have any cash or credit cards? Extend the range of the search area if yes. I'm sure the police are already checking for credit card activity. Same for cell phone hits if they had one. Which general direction were they heading? Continue searching in that direction first. Don't ignore any side roads. God bless and good luck.

I just cant begin to understand any of this.Tomorrow makes one whole month! Why we have heard nothing is really a shock to us all.We have no clue what to think...but PRAISE GOD that He 'is' there at all times for us to lean on Him in this horrible time. Keep praying,as I'm sure most all of you do. They are not searching the Wayne area so much now.We had one lead coming from north of Columbus but that was the 25th,and no 'actual' proof from that one. NOTHING since!!Stay on your local medias please. We are still doing so...and God only know's why this story isnt where it truely needs to be---LET US THEREFORE COME BOLDLY UNTO THE THRONE OF GRACE, THAT WE MAY OBTAIN MERCY, AND FIND GRACE TO HELP IN TIME OF NEED (HEB 4:16) We love you all! They were good to us.They definatly are not deserving of this. I hope and pray that they are found safe and return home soon. If there is anything we can do up here we would be more than happy to help. We could take flyers to Grafton,Lagrange, Litchfield and anywhere else the family may think we should. My pappaw is very worried as everyone else is, we would like to help him and the rest of the family if you would like. The HIPAA privacy rules would absolutely NOT prevent a medical facility from calling the police or doing everything they can to locate family members. I used to go to church with Pat and Willard. I'm so sorry. I hope they are found.

It is so troubling that these poor folks haven't been located. Even more troubling that the news stories seem to have gone stale. This could be anyone's parents, grandparents....we need to keep this front page.....updated and out there where everyone can hear and know to be aware. Look around ....someone HAS to know or have seen something....this family is suffering a horrible ordeal.....please keep us updated

I keep checking this site to see if any updates are added. I hope you find your family members real soon. I couldn't imagine going through that. My heart is with you!

My heart is very heavy I was Praying by now they would be found. I am still Praying Gods will be done. I no we need a closure we need to find them where ever they are. I just Pray for the good Lord to show someone were to go find them. I am only a sister-in-law, but my heart is broken. Patty has gave me a lot of Godly advise, I would call her a lot about things when Jimmy and I were fist married. I have been in the family for 29 years. They have been a blessing in all our lives.I Love both of them, we have to hold on to the Lord.

I have been praying without ceasing since this story first came out. I was wondering if they were injured somehow and were in the hospital or nursing home or rehab center would the Hippa Privacy law keep the people there in charge from reporting this? Many accidents happen and they are not reported. Would the Privacy law keep someone from reporting this? Someone out there may have seen them and do not know they are missing. How much money did they have on them? Would it not be run out by now? I just keep thinking they are "safe" some place but it is not known really who they are..I will continue to pray. Love to all of us...

i continue to watch for the fryes and will until i hear they are found. i hope they are found soon. i know this must be very wearing on the family. i wish i could think of a way to locate them or make the national media pay attention to this story. frye family just try to support each other through this ordeal.

CYNDI to update you and the church... there have been many searches both private and organized. I can only tell you what the wv authorities are saying. They have informed us they have searched every lead and have searched both land, water and by air and have come to the conclusion Patty and Bill are not in the area. I personally share this belief and have since day one. However no stone can go unturned. Thank you for your prayers. continue to pray. We can only ask it is up to God to answer. We will continue to ask just as the woman who kept pestering the judge until he gave her the thing she was seeking from him. God bless you and your church.

There have been how many searches, now? Me & my family are very concerned and look for updates everyday on this site. I'm certain if something was found, our church would be notified up here. I sleep with the phone next to bed in case. I read about someone asking about 77N, if anything has been started to do a search around the areas they may've been trieng to get to. I keep my eyes open all the time for their car and even look into other cars for them as I drive. It's sad to say, but the news up here just did those few broadcasts and no more. This is terrible! Please Dear Jesus help us. Help them wherever they are until we can locate them. These are two of your own children, faithful and true, bring them back or send us word. This is agony.

Posted by: Connie on Apr 4, 2008 at 11:40 AM
Well I want to thank evryone for your prayers. I do believe at this time is all we can do is Trust in JESUS. I have been praying and there are people praying all over. My brother from North Carolina has the prayers going there. I want all of our family to hold together and let the lord strengthen us. I have so many good memories of Patty and Bill. I pray to the good Lord we can have more, I remember us singing and really having church , when they would come in from Cleveland. Patty would always make us a good Dessert. They have been so good to us. They were always faithful to the Lord. Who knows maybe they are some where witnessing right now. I am really glad the the negative comments have slowed down. The best thing for people to do is give some incouragement. Not pointing fingers at other people or saying what if. I love all the family,I am a part of it

Patty will you please come home. We miss you and pop so much. Every where i look i see something you gave me or a recipe you shared with me. You are such a good cook. you taught me to cook, to drive, and to enjoy life. Remember when you and i went to the Penfield Mall -yes i know it was just a hole in the wall store the locals jokingly dubbed "the mall"- You knew how much i liked malls at that time and you got a kick out of taking me there. Remember those sunglasses we bought? We wore them with the tags dangling in front of our eyes.laughing so hard all the way home.So many memories. You have always been a jolly person and you know how to spread the joy. Now the gig's up get your self back here to us and lets make more beautiful, fun memories.

You are all in our thoughts. Would they go up 77 if headed north? Just want to help u find them. Has anyone asked anyone to go up in a plane and look for an accident off the road? The follage isn't on yet, soon it will be too late to see anything...just a thought.

As to the 911 center in Wayne, they are being investigated because when the call was made to them it was'nt processed like it should have been. The caregiver did what she should have done and called 911 immediately. I desperately hope that we find my aunt and uncle safe and sound. As for having skeletons in our closets, OH YES I have them, we all have them, just like any other family, but please help find Patty and Bill. Thanks for all your concerns.

All I can say is I will be out there every minute I can. Paul and I are going out about 10:00 Saturday with 4-wheelers and a bunch of people. Anyone who wants to help are more then welcome. I love you guys so much and I'm talking also to the family on here that I don't talk to or see very much. Dad says to tell everyone he loves you and he misses everyone! He wants so bad to be out here helping. If you can find the time it would make him so happy to get a letter from anyone.E-mail me for the address. Well, love you guys and I have to go. Once again THANK YOU to everyone helping and praying. MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL...Trish White

I just wanted to say, I feel for the couples family, I know what it is like to loose your parent to Alzheimers. It is awful to watch your parent to turn into a child. My father went into the woods on his farm and it took hours to find him. When they did he was tangled in briars. And for the people that doesn't know anything about the disease, before you post your negative comments, study up on just what happens to Alzheimer's and dimentia patients. It is just so sad. And, family don't give up there is still a chance they will be found. I will be praying for them and I urge the negative people to pray for them also. Instead of writing bad comments.

She thought she was headed home to Crown City. you are right about the vehicle. We are hoping for some incident with the vehicle that will draw the police to them wherever they are.

Heard the song 4 days late this morning and I thought of Willard and Pat. Truly they thought there was no hope for Lazarus, but God had a different plan. We have such little faith at times because we only see a piece of the puzzle, but God sees the puzzle completed. Never give up your faith that God can bring them home, even when others thing that it is to late. Keeping you guys in our thoughts and prayers.

The couple could have traveled a considerable distance. However, it is beneficial to map out the roads from the point last seen and for the roads that come to a dead end and or are regarded used very little, logging roads etc. are worth checking and eliminated. Most of the time what you are searching for is closer than you think. Hope they are located soon.

I DO NOT know these people, however I know that there is no reason for negative comments. This is a VERY BAD situation and you are only adding fuel to the fire!

I am so sick of the Negative comments. I think we the family have enough to worry about. We are all worried, we have racked out Brains since this has happened trying to figure out where they could be. I have been Praying the Lord will show someone where they are at. I also want to say to the people who are getting on here, downing the family. I would prefer you keep your nosey comments to yourself. I don't appreciate the comment about Jerry, he is not the only one in Wayne that has gone wrong. I live in Wayne and there alot people that knows how to get out of ther meaness. For the ones that Love the Lord Please keep Praying.

You cannot use search dogs if they didn't get out of the car. They have to have a scent to go on. Being in a car, there would not have been a one of a kind scent to go on!

To Trish, Linda, and the rest of the family! These people are crazy... I mean really crazy. We can't let them get us down. Thats what they are trying to do. They just want to hurt us. You all know me and know that what I really wanted to do is tell them off, but I decided this time I would let it roll off. WE won't let their foolish words hurt us. Trishy I am sorry, I know its easier said then done. Everyone that really knows your dad, knows that he is hurting. I am sure its harder on him then the rest of us. I am sure he feels helpless. Lets try to pick up the slack for him and make everyone proud. I love you all!

Do you think the cops would not have aready thought of this or ask any of these Questions. You seem to know so much maybe they should talk to you. Why can't this be about two people who wondered off and nothing more. Why does it have to be that someone has done something to them? Hope they ar found safe & sound.

Posted by: LINDA PASLEY on Mar 30, 2008 at 05:35 PM
to anonymous on mar 30th... save your prayers for yourself. You need them. As for the family of the Fryes most of them are indeed wonderful people. Howver we all are imperfect but there are no major skeletons to hide in this family. and if you think you can do a better job of investigating than the police how about not hiding behind anonymous and put your name out there in big bold letters for all to see. As for why the frye children are not out there looking, they are convinced their mom and Dad are not still in the area. But for the ones who want to keep looking in the East lynn area. God bless them. The caregiver, Pattys sister, saw them heading toward Wayne when they crossed the bridge. She promptly called 911 and tried to get the dispatcher to call the sheriff to stop them because of their alzheimers and confusion. i think you should examine yourself then cast stones.

I have just recently heard the story. I have so many dfferent tales. I think they should tell the name of the store they were last seen at. I am from the area & I'm not sure what store they were last seen. They need to also tell what direction they were headed. If they were in East Lynn coming from Ohio they could have been driving through Ranger. I live less than 20 miles from East Lynn. The community really needs to get the whole story so they can get together & look for this couple. There are too many people wanting to blame & point the finger at people. That's not what's important. We need to pray & come together & find this couple. THAT'S WHAT'S IMPORTANT!

Well wehad a good search today. News channel 3 and fow news followed us around. We covered a lot of ground. We had tons of people out everywhere on atv's and trucks and foot. Junior Ramey is outting together a huge search Monday the 31st. they are starting at 8:00am and are welcoming anyone that will help. There is still a lot of ground to be covered enough though we done a lot today. We talked to a lot of people and got a lot of different stories. Things are weird out there and some people tell us to go away and dont be asking questions. We will not stop until we get answers. Thank you so much to all the people who did come out and volunteer. You have no idea how much that means to us. We really needs closer on this. Please come out and join Monday. Thank you and keep praying. I think the more people that email these stations then maybe they will get it , that we need help!, i have contacted cnn and did that ireport on their website, and i have emailed the today show also , and i have emailed the flyer to hospitals also ,but like i said the more people that email or call these places , maybe they will help, i can't make it down there in time for the search , but i am thinking about coming down maybe next week for a couple days , maybe they turned around and went the other way, i don't know , i just don't know, love to you all mary

Have you thought of talk shows or john or silvia? I hope you find them safe.

Posted by: Email Everyone on Mar 29, 2008 at 12:51 AM
I sent emails to everyone I know. From Boston Mass. to Phoenix Arizona. If everyone would just email everyone they know and ask them to send to everyone they know we could get the word out. Just please keep praying for their safe and speedy return home. Some on here could take a lesson in manners, now is no time to place blame.

sarah, i havfe emailed today show telling them that any help would be appreciated. I will continue to email everyone that I can and see what happens. I t is sad to say that this Drew Petterson is always on tv because his wife is missing however there are 2 people with medsical needs missing and they are not getting the coverage they need to. anything i can do tohelp, please email me at barjars2@hotmail.com

Posted by: Sarah on Mar 28, 2008 at 09:11 PM
I have contacted AMW and they say that they have not been missing long enough.I have also contacted Nancy Grace,Today show MSNBC,NBC and many others,no one has yet to email or call me back.I am just one person,If more and more people would contact them, maybe something will be done. I pray for this family, and hope that some way it would be brought to more and more peoples attention. And I also think that if the people from WSAZ would actully sit down and read half of these comments then they would try HARDER and HARDER to put it back on the NEWS its not about what people wants to see on the news like what Clinton said about Obama ,its about two peoples lives and reaching more people. What if someone had something that they wanted to see on the news and just happend to catch the story about this couple and knew something about there where abouts? Wouldnt that be a blessing. But WSAZ and other stations has to put it back on the air. IT SAYS CONTINUING COVERAGE,thats what it should be!!!!!!!

We are actually going to meet in East Lynn about 10:00am.We still ask if you are in the area or know of anyone, please do reach out and help. The family need's the peace of knowing we have checked this area to the best of our ability.Contact me at fryefamily02@yahoo.com for any questions. As far as the helicopter's...things were not posted right or even updated...they have searched over Wayne County and our part of Southern Ohio...not just four houses. We're trying to get them up in the air even more though..this just isnt enough. Their still missing and no sign or anything of them. We are so very grateful to all of you whom do 'try' to stay up to date with news on our grandparents. Its complete torture to us all not knowing. Please keep praying!!Feel free to contact us with anything. Thanks to all,and may God Bless with His Tender Love and Mercy.. Sincerely, Jerry & Kayla

Jerry, Kayla, Trish, Mary or any other family member.. If any of you read this please e-mail me with the details of the search. I can't find any of your phone numbers. Stamper720@hotmail.com

could you please post the name of the store in east lynn where they went missing? i live about 8 or 9 miles east lynn. i have driven over that way going home but it is hard to know where to look if you don't know exactly where they went missing. since you are searching tomorrow, do you have meeting place in mind for people who want to help?

Posted by: concerned on Mar 28, 2008 at 03:39 PM
I have contacted cnn.com & told them of the story. Maybe if everyone would go to the website and do the same, we maybe could get this broadcasted. There is a contact us button on the bottom of the page, and then u go to report news. Just trying to help all I can... I would hate for this to be my grandparents.. My hearts are with the family..

Posted by: concerned on Mar 28, 2008 at 03:31 PM
I have also found www.cnn.com, and they have a contact button at the main bottom of the page...

Posted by: concerned on Mar 28, 2008 at 03:28 PM
I have been following this story, and thought of a few websites you may want to check into. www.wvstandard.com This is a local newspaper that covers boone, lincoln, logan. etc. and www.loganbanner.com, maybe they would publish the story and help get the word out. Most newspapers have websites, I know the Charleston gazette does as well... Hope this helps..

Thank you so much to all that are still keeping our family in your prayers. Trust me,we have been keeping onto the news stations and all media..it's sad but they just tell us that people only want to hear this story so much! I dont understand why we cant get more help.We are literally doing everything within our power to keep it going. The fact is,we are getting overlooked all the time.Even since the latest news update, they have been to my house for an interview and they have yet to add anything to the story,or top of this page. The family has decided that tomorrow morning from 8am-6pm or so,we are asking anyone who wants to help or has family that would like to help...we are extensively searching all of the East Lynn area, where grandma & poppa were last seen. Please help if youd like.We need it!!Please keep emailing requests for more info on this story, and continue to try to help keep this of interest to people. We are trying, but apparently this situation is just of no interest to people.

Posted by: Anon. on Mar 28, 2008 at 01:34 PM
Think this should be first and foremost on all news broadcasts. Also, a helicopter needs to be covering the entire area. This is so sad...Why has there been no NATIONAL NEWS COVERAGE????? This situation is too close to the heart to be so suddenly forgotten.

Posted by: SUggestion on Mar 28, 2008 at 11:00 AM
Maybe someone could start circulating this by email....send to everyone on their contact list and keep passing it on. That covers alot of territory.

Posted by: Lynda on Mar 28, 2008 at 10:45 AM
I don't understand why this story was never broadcase on a nationwide news station, or why there is no more broadcasts about the story, looks to me like lioke this should be updates every day or at least every other day!!! This is terible on the family memebers who are near and far away. The only information I am finding is online, and it is only the initial story!! What is up with that.

Posted by: Christy on Mar 28, 2008 at 09:32 AM
Do we have any information on the couple yet? This is just awful

Posted by: Christy on Mar 28, 2008 at 08:14 AM
I am so sorry this family is going through this. To the family, you might wsant to consider Americas Most WAnted, hey they have major coverage. Maybe they could put your loved ones on national tv so that IF they have been seen or someone knows their location, MAYBE they can contact the show. Just A Thought, if they can't help you maybe they can tell you what stations to contact.

Have the police thought of offering reward money, or is this not the type of situation you would do this? Some people are motivated by this and it might get the public more involved. I have not been able to think of hardly anything else but all the family and Patty and Bill. I cannot understand how they can be still missing! My heart aches constantly for all of you and I am still praying. We completely understand how something like this "can just happen". We took care of one of our parents for 16 years with alzheimer disease and it is one of the hardest things one can do. Even 24 hours a day seems to not be enough at times. My husband had a heart attack from the stress and worry of the constant care. It is not easy and if you have never had to really do it you can not understand how a situation like this can occur. I know that I do not blame anyone..I am sure they feel bad enough already. My heart goes out to all of you!

Posted by: hopeful on Mar 27, 2008 at 08:28 PM
I do not believe there is enough media coverage of this. KEEP IT GOING! People often forget unless they are constantly reminded that this couple is still missing, keep their pictures on the air, keep the word out, BRING THEM HOME!!

Posted by: Concerned on Mar 27, 2008 at 08:26 PM
I only hope you will find your loved ones safe and sound. I can't believe some of the horrible things people post on here without any regard to the safety of the missing couple or the feelings of the family. They should all be ashamed and pray that they will never have to go through something like this. May god bless you and yours, there are many of us out here that only pray for their safe return.

Posted by: mom of 2 on Mar 27, 2008 at 08:01 PM
come on people, please keep your nasty commnts to yourself. The family has enough on their mind. Put yourself in their shoes...enough said. I am praying for Bill and Patty, and the rest of the family.

Posted by: Melissa on Mar 27, 2008 at 07:27 PM
I was not trying to be rude at all, just realistic. All that I have heard about a helicopter search is that they had flown over 4 houses. They need to spread to surrounding areas. I also believe, as others have said, that this should be treated similar to an Amber Alert because of the couple's dependence on others as a result of their debilitating conditions. I am praying for the family and hope that they are found safe.

Posted by: Anonymous on Mar 27, 2008 at 05:03 PM
To someone.. This is no time for putting down my family. We have better things to do with our time then to play your childish games. Such as search for Patty and Bill. As for the comment about the caregiver, she isn't in the shape to be sitting behind a keyboard now that her sister and brother-in-law are missing. She is using her time to look for them and do all she can to help their children and grandchildren. She was the one who went and visited them all the time, how many people called them on a regular basis. Not many, but as soon as people found out they were missing they have been ringing the whole families phones off the hook. Its nice to show concern and give respects, but its people like you who make it harder on everyone. Please mind your own business and layoff of everyone else.

Posted by: Here's an idea.... on Mar 27, 2008 at 02:26 PM
instead of spending time attacking the family and caregiver about what they did/didn't do or what they are/aren't doing... use that energy to pray that they are found.

Has anyone contacted hospitals in the area.Have the police put an APB out for these people. This is horrible. This poor family is going crazy, There has to be a way to find these people. With the privacy laws in effect now the police would probably have to contact the hospitals.I would not let them rest until they tried every resource available to them. I check 5-6 times a day to see if there has been any news. It seems like the comments on here are just trying to place blame.Right now thats not important, just find these people.Keep the faith and may GOD bless all thats involved.

My heart goes out to this elderly couple & to their family. It is hard to imagine in this age of technology that a car with this couple in it can't be found. I hope & pray that they are ok and will be found very soon.

Posted by: Someone on Mar 26, 2008 at 10:08 PM
And another thing, Brenda if the care giver is in no shape to site behind a computer, what shape is she in to care for any elderly person? Especially ones with illnesses. Besides that none sites behind the computer all day, But not even one comment has been made by her. Going back and forth is not what this is for, we are supposed to be trying to help, picking someone apart that is trying to help, would not be what they want. Acting childish and being defensive doesnt help anything. Why would anyone feal the need to be defensive unless they felt they had a reason to.

Posted by: Someone on Mar 26, 2008 at 10:02 PM
To Brenda.. You say to anyone who has negative thoughts keep them to yourself, yet you can't. Your comments about the store owner and the 911 operator are not exactly pure are they? You quote your bible tells you "if you dont have nything good to say dont say anything at all" then why are you passing judgement on the 911 operator and the store owner.. Especially since that store owner you are refuring to is a relative of theirs. As for the biting and punching comment you made, Have you ever seen Bill and Patty visiously attack anyone is their hole lives? Especially there family. THey are not like that, THey are calm, passive and mild manerly, even with their illnesses. Something prevoked them. I just have one thing more to say. 2 Days after they disapered I called the Wayne county Sherriff's Dept. To suggest that they check the memorial garden cemetary, when they were in the area Bill would usually always visit his parents, I have heard anything else about it, Has anyone else?

Posted by: Melissa on Mar 26, 2008 at 08:13 PM
I am thinking that this couple most likely became very disoriented and their car is over a bank somewhere out of the line of sight of commuters. A search by air really should be done in an effort to recover these individuals and give closure to their family.

Posted by: sue on Mar 26, 2008 at 06:23 PM
since the fryes were in a car then they could be anywhere and if they became ill then they might be at a hospital somewhere. and since their story is not being nationally aired the hospital would not know to report that they are there. that is one thing that could of happened and i hope that is what happened. since the fryes sometimes get confused then they just haven't been able to call or come home. maybe they are ill and can't tell the people where they are where they live or who to call for them. there is still hope that they can be found so i will keep looking out around wayne.

Posted by: brenda on Mar 26, 2008 at 03:02 PM
you people that has negative thoughts keep them to your self. but us as family no the caregiver done everything she could do but if you are getting bited and punched you are going to give in too. but what wasnt done is the store owners and the 911 that took the phone call . so please stop adding comments like that. as my bible tells me if you dont have any thing good to say dont say nothing at all.

Posted by: Anonymous on Mar 26, 2008 at 01:53 PM
This is for "someone!" Yes, the caregiver does care. She isn't in the shape to be sitting behind a computer. And umm.. lets see, I think we would've thought about them having a cell phone. Keep your useless comments to yourself.

Posted by: Someone on Mar 26, 2008 at 01:43 PM
What right does anyone have to question the caregiver? I'll tell you. If she was the last one to see them alive then she definately knows more about what happened. And I see that you dont think I know this family, when in fact I am a family member thank you. Please everyone just keep looking in fact I went by the lake again today twice. THey have to be somewhere.

Posted by: Thinking on Mar 26, 2008 at 11:35 AM
This is so upsetting. Has anyone thought to check the use of their debit/credit cards? Or did they have enough money to eat, sleep and get gas with? Has a helicopter gotten involved to look over country roads???? Just seems like there isn't a whole lot of coverage. They eventually have to get something to eat or something. OR maybe they dont' want to be found??? I have no idea. Prayers are with you.

this is for sarah. i live in the wayne/east lynn wv area where the fryes went missing. you did something that i do not have the computer skills to do. so i just wanted to commend you for caring and doing what i could not do for the frye family. it breaks my heart that they have not been found. i will continue to look in the area where i live. i don't know if i can email you because of my lack of computer skills but thank you.

My prayers are with all of you! All of you get real close to God, you will need Him either way. He is a help in a time of trouble!!! He can help when our hands are tied! He will make a way where there seems to be NO way!!! May God bless & keep you all is my prayer.

Posted by: Lilly on Mar 26, 2008 at 07:40 AM
You know, if you don't know this family and the situation I think you should just keep your negative comments to yourselves. It amazes me as I have looked at these comments over the past two weeks. People are so inconsiderate and judgemental of others. Our family is going through one of the most terrible ordeals imaginable and all some of you can do is sit back and criticize us. It is obsurd. As Patty and Bill's niece, I am so concerned that we haven't found them yet. Our family is in shock. We feel that we are helpless. So instead of making rude comments and judgements, try putting yourselves in our shoes. What if this were one of your family members? Would you want someone else making rude comments? Probably not.

Posted by: Anonymous on Mar 26, 2008 at 06:50 AM
What right do any of you have to question the caregiver? Police was notified as soon as this happened. Everyone needs to focus on finding these people instead of placing blame where it does dont lie!

Posted by: Someone on Mar 26, 2008 at 01:34 AM
Why doesnt their caregiver have any comments on here? Is she not concerned? Did she call the police immediately, when then asked her out of there car? Can anyone colaborte her story about her being out of their car, when they were last seen? THere has to be alot me to this story that she is not telling. She should be questioned again and again my police until she helps them to find these poor lost people. Alot of people in Wayne are watching out and just driving around trying to see anything that might help. Did they have a cell phone? Most of them have a tracking device.

Pattys sister was the caregiver. She did call 911 as soon as she got out of the car. The police never responded. This is being looked into by the state of Ohio. Something is not right with this community. Why will people look everywhere for a dog, but when its a humans life at stake, everyone just sits back and don't care.. We as a community need to come together to help find them. This is just not right.

something is just not right this couple would turn up some where in a store hospitol clinic or on the street i just dont think they wandered off after an arguement why wouldnt the care giver contact the police the instant she moved away from them watch the direction of travel or call a friend or family member that instant and haver them followed something is screwy here

Also will again send out the link to their pics/story here to people I know & email contacts just in case they make it anywhere in the country, you just never know who may see them and can give you tips. Kentucky governor scheduled a press conference to discuss legalizing casinos, Why hasnt Wv held a press conference to try to bring Mr and Mrs Frye home? I think that this story should be a top news headline EVERYDAY until they are found. I do not understand why the authorities are not doing what it takes to get this story on national news. Like many others of you, I have called the Nancy Grace show, and sent an e-mail to cnn station. There are people out there that still have not heard this story. I hope to see the authorities and the press come together and give this story the coverage and attention that they have given other cases.

WSAZ was at my brothers house today doing another interview. Bill Murry is eally trying to do something. He has been following this story because he had something like this happen in his family. Hope he really gets it out there. To all my family on here, I love you guys and I'm here for you if you need me. Love you guys!!

My thoughts and prayers have been lingering with the Frye's and their family. I make it a point to pay attention when I am out driving around here in southern Ohio. May the Lord bring the Frye's home safely. WSAZ could we get an update as to any changes in this story? Your last update was nearly a week ago.

Please WSAZ news. PLEASE help and try HARDER to get THE FRYES home to their loved ones, they are so grief-stricken about their LOVED ONES,PLEASE LORD I PRAY BRING THEM HOME. I agree get ahold of NANCY GRACE she will find them or this may seem crazy, but has anyone thought of using a pychic to help? I will continue to Pray for ALL.

How does this happen? How is it that no one has even seen this couple in a week? I fear the worst, but am hoping for the best.

Posted by: sue in Ohio on Mar 24, 2008 at 08:51 AM
I continue to pray that they will be found. But still don't understand why this isn't being put on the news more????? PLEASE put this on the TV for everyone to see that they haven't been found.

the Fryes only had a couple hundred dollars and the family has been checking the bank everyday and there has been no transactions or anything. So they could only get so far.

i know wayne police have the case of mr. and mrs. frye but are the crown city ohio police involved in looking for them also since that is where they were living. can the relatives file a missing person report with the crown city police? has the family talked to the crown city police? can the family talk to the f.b.i. or does the police have to bring in the f.b.i.? i don't know the answer to these questions but i thought it might help if i brought them up. i drove around today and looked for the fryes car or them. i will continue to look around the wayne/east lynn area.

Please help find my aunt and uncle! They are two of the best people in this world. Like my cousin Trish said in her comment.. I feel helpless! I don't know what to. My dad has talked to the State Police and they even say the are buffaloed. And yes, we have thought about the water. We have thought everything. The FBI has had helicopters looking. Please just help find them. Please spread the word. If you go to church, Please request prayers for them. Thanks

I don't know if anyone has done this but I just sent an email to the AP with links to this story and to the blog to see if they might release this nationally and get more exposure. Thank goodness for message boards or no one would even be hearing about this and getting any updates.

Posted by: sue on Mar 23, 2008 at 10:10 AM
i feel that the national news should be made aware of this story but i do not know how that can or should be done. i wish i did. i will continue to drive around and look for the fryes and their car. it is very rural where i live with multiple "hollers" and trails. i have told other people to always be looking for them. they may not be in the wayne or east lynn area anymore but i will continue to look.

Posted by: anonymous on Mar 23, 2008 at 12:28 AM
Does the family know if they would be using credit cards that the authorities could check to see if there has been any transactions that would give an idea of where they have been? I am glad to see where WSAZ has included this in the section of stories they are continuing to cover. I still think more news agencies and national shows should pick this up.

Posted by: Leigh Anne on Mar 22, 2008 at 10:26 PM
I pray each day that Mr. and Mrs. Frye are located. My prayers are also with the family.

I was reading the report above and I am concerned that the police have not found these people yet and that they have only looked over 4 houses I mean these people are my family and why did they only fly over 4 houses I mean is that all they can do. Also given the condition they are in why is there not a nation wide search for them or at least the east coast they could be anywhere. Well I guess it doesn't seem that bad until it is your family but I can prolly guess if this was a case of a high officials family members it would be on every local news channel in the states but not for regular families who are not famous or wealthy. O well I just hope they are found alive and well.

Posted by: Sue on Mar 22, 2008 at 11:47 AM
It is sad that you have to be a Missing Marshall Student to get your name all over the news, this should be the same, they are missing, but I have only seen it on the news once, and never heard anymore, it should be on there atleast 2-3 times a week so people will know to keep looking for them. Please help and air this on the news a little more.

Posted by: Jenni on Mar 22, 2008 at 11:34 AM
Maybe you will get an Easter miracle and Mr. and Mrs. Frye will be found safe and sound. I will continue to pray for their safe return. God Bless and Good luck!

Posted by: sue on Mar 22, 2008 at 09:45 AM
if the family has not already, maybe they should call some national news show like nancy grace's show on cnn. maybe the show could at least make a suggestion as to how to get more attention for the fryes story. i watch the nancy grace show and people call in so i know their must be a number to call them. or maybe call america's most wanted and ask for suggestions. i hope somewhere like that will help you get the word out. it's all i can think of.

Posted by: JK on Mar 22, 2008 at 07:11 AM
Maybe I overlooked it somewhere, but was there ever a license no. posted on their vehicle. Seems it would be easier to spot that way. God bless everyone in the search efforts.

How much money did your grandparents have on hand. They can only go so far on a tank of Gas. Also did they have credit cards on them that can be tracked to their where abouts. If they did have credit cards all you need is to go to their home get a statement's and give it to the police to see if they are using any of their credit cards. My prayers are with the family.

Posted by: anonymous on Mar 20, 2008 at 11:39 PM
Just trying to bump this back into the top stories so hopefully someone will see this that can provide information. I am surprised more coverage is not showing up on this. I watched the local news tonight and you could hear about things all over the US but not a word about these missing people in our tri-state area. Had I not seen the initial story I would never known about this and I watch the news and check updates frequently. I even checked the headlines at http://www.wvnewsline.com where you see headlines from several newspapers and television stations and nothing on this missing couple.

Depending on the condition of whomever was driving at the time there is a good possibility that they are still in the Wayne County WV area. Easy Lynn is very rural and if you don't know which way you are headed you can end up where you can't be found very easily. I too pray for their safe return.

I have been reading the comments as they come daily. My prayers are with each and everyone of these family and friends. I don't understand why the avaition people only circled a few houses with no results, why can't that search be widened out into ohio. right now there is no leaves on trees and the visibilty should be better, is there very many large bodies of water near Wayne? I know that the rivers and creeks are probabley very swollen right now. I wished there would be some way you could call in a search team, is this a possibility? Did they have a cell phone or any tracking device on their car? I am sure you have already thought of all these things.I am still on my knees and I to would love to find that little blue car, I look ever where I go. everyone is praying for their safe return and so we will continue to pray.

I sent wsaz a pic of their car...it's not perfectly clear due to enlargement..but you get the idea of the make and that it's not a hatchback focus. There are also a couple photo's at http://missingfryes.blogspot.com There is a flyer you can copy, print and post around your area..thank you to all the prayer's and support! God has already answered one prayer by the FBI picking our grandparent's case up! Now it's getting out there more.On CNN.com I still didn't see it,but you can search from there..and then the news channel's story will link up. God see's them even though we can't.I trust fully in Him,and I know that He will shelter them.Thank you for opening your heart's to our family.God Bless You All! fryefamily02@yahoo.com

I believe with God's help they will again even if it's onlyto still be with us. We love them so much and are hoping and praying to hear from them soon. Please people, don't critize this family. This is not the time or place. Unless this had happened to you, you have no idea what it is like to care for a Alzheimer's/Dementia patient. I know personally that it takes a special person to care for these individuals. Imagine YOUR mother is lost. My grandmother would take off and leave for Akron without anyone knowing where she was, and it was scary. Respect this family for doing everything that they can to find this couple. I will keep this family in my prayers.

Posted by: Sad on Mar 18, 2008 at 11:29 AM
This is such a sad story. I am confident that they will be found safe and well. Keep the news hopping with the pictures, that will be the key. To the people who are voicing their opinion about should have done this, should have done that...why don't you offer to take care of them when they are found and give this family a break? Even if you revoke their priveleges, they could still walk away or grab the keys and drive away. I pray for their safe return.

Posted by: Jerry Frye on Mar 18, 2008 at 11:23 AM
I just want to take a moment to thank all of the people who has given our family hope, comfort, support but most importantly Prayers. To know how much my grandparents mean to you and the love you show for them means everything to our family. This has pulled us closer to each other and more importantly to God and I thank him for the trials as well as the blessings. The most important thing is they are ultimately in Gods hands and either way whether he choses to bring them "Home" or stay we know they are ready. I do not question him either way, but only pray Gods will be done. We still have nothing to go on right now but if you have any information or questions you can contact me at Fryefamily02@yahoo.com May God bless you and be in your heart

Posted by: Debbie on Mar 18, 2008 at 10:49 AM
First of all I have been a nurse both in long term care and home health for over 20 years, so I know a little about dementia. Second of all we went thru this with my dad. After several fender benders 1000 dollar deductibles, and skyrocketed insurance he got on I65 going the wrong way in Louisville. luckily noone was hurt or killed. yes we had to get guardianship and take his keys and have his license taken away. Not easy. He had On Star and would call them to start his car. Since it was in my sister's garage he nearly asphyiated them. We had to stop that. My comments were meant to be cautionary not critical and I sincerely hope they are found soon alive and well. but as soon as they are this problem needs taken care of.

What good does it do to lecture this family, no one said the family was like "Grandma and Granpa! Do you want to go for a drive?" How do you know they did not sneak out. People you do not know the sitution. I do not know this family, but I could not see anyone giving someone with their medical history permission to go out for a spin, so I doubt the family had anything to do with this. This family is worried and concerned. I knew an elderly woman with Alzhiemer's, and she could not have pizza cause she would choke, and pizza was her favorite food. As soon as the family would turn their back on her, such as, she was suppose to be in bed,or they would go to the bathroom. She was ordering a pizza, they had pizza delivery guys at their door all hours of the day. My point is people with these conditions sneak and do things they are not suppose too.Us telling the family they shouldhave done this and that over and over, is blaming them for something they may nothave had control over, how hurtful.

He will never fail! I love you all and I'll keep praying.I do know prayer changes things!Hold on to each other a little of Bill and Patty is in each one of you! You can find comfort in that! Reach out and trust in God!

Unless you have ever cared for someone who has dementia or alzheimers you have no right to judge anyone. To take their cars away would probably only upset them more, which is probably what the family was trying to avoid. Sometimes it has to be done, we changed keys and my grandpa was no more the wiser. But it didn't stop him from wondering off every chance he could. So don't blame the family they could have as easily walked away as driven. My understanding is that they were not alone when this happened. They can be alot like children, here one minute gone the next. May God watch over & care for them until they are safely home. Please people take the extra time to watch for them.

My prayers go out to the family. Having been the caregiver of an alzheimers patient I can understand what you guys are going through. As for the other posts--people who experience seizures are allowed to drive after a length of time seizure free..it doesn't mean they won't experience one while driving just that they've went a year without one. Diabetic patients are allowed to drive. And alcholics are definately still driving even after three DUI's just ask the girl who hit my vehical in the middle of the afternoon. The lady who was driving has dementia. There are over 1200 forms of dementia, Alzheimers included. It's not easy for the family. The reality is that some of these people can become aggressive and when they do you wouldn't believe they are elderly. Unless you know this family and what they are going through you should keep comments to yourself about who should be driving. I pray the couple is found safe and sound.

To the Fry family my prayers are with each and every one of you, that God will comfort your hearts and strength you each day of this trial you are going through. And to the Public, now isn't the time for the why's and what if's. We can only surmise, but God knows their where abouts, and we need to earnestly go to the throne room of God and pray for their safe return to their loved ones.I know Bill and Pat and I think they would want us to interseed in their behalf I know they have prayed for me and my family many times. They were truly a blessing to me and my family over the years that I have had the priviledge of knowing them and worshiping togather at Christian Unity. When we exercise our Faith and Pray Delegently we can see Mountains Moved and Miracles happen. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto our own understanding. I feel that the media should run a bulletin across the bottom of the TV screen every 20 mns. or so. The only thing we are concerned with right now is the safe return of our grandparents. I'm not going to get on here and argue with ignorance. I cant believe at a time like this people want to point fingers and blame. You know what, my grandparents Patty and Bill are out there somewhere right now and I do not think they really care who are what, they just want to go home. It is ALWAYS easier to sit back and tell someone what they should or shouldn't do. At a time like this everyone needs to pull together and find them. I have read about 12 comments about the keys, I agree that it would have been best and no one on here that knows our family would disagree w/ taking away their keys. If it makes you all feel better or maybe gets you all to stop commenting about the keys the people who oversee Bill and Patty haven't accessed this site and probably won't. If you all wish to talk about their keys anymore get a chat room. We (as the family) only want help, support and prayers. We know they don't need to drive and we would have taken the keys if it was our call. I am sure if they are found, There caregivers will take their keys. Please don't be offended, nor kick us while we are down. May God put a desire in your hearts to try and help us, we would greatly appreciate your support and prayers.

I am so sorry for your pain. My heart really goes out to you. My mother had Alzheimers and its a horrible diease. I was lucky she lost the ability to walk. I hope you find them and I will say a prayer that they are safe and will be found, and I will keep my eyes open for them. Again, I am very sorry for what you are going thru.

My heart goes out to your family. Dealing with the elderly is a heart breaking affair when the mind starts to go. May God watch over them and all your family. BTW all you experts just wait until you have to walk in this family's shoes. Then let's see how many stones you throw.

I just want this family to know that they are in my prayers. To those critics who haven't been in the position of dealing with a relative who's impaired with Alzheimer's or dementia you do no KNOW how difficult it is to stop someone from driving. The laws in this country that give us all our freedom also protects those are suffering from mental impairment, as well they should. Don't criticize PRAY for this family who are desperately needing love and support now when they are hurting so.

thanks to everyone for your concerns and support.I wanted people to know that I have contacted the national center for missing adults and the jonh walsh missing person web site Ive called also, and havent got to talk to a person yet but i have emialed too. We are scatterbrained trying to get more help and more coverage Its like a constant run around and the state police can only do so much or act like they are doing everything possible. Know that our grandparents are so dear to us and keep them in your prayers I wonder why they dont treat this like an amber alert, they are alot like children

People we can only post OUR remark's and that 'we' the grandchildren were kept from having say in all of our grand-parent's 'well-being'.We did NOT want grandma driving and out because we know how she get's nowadays. Please people,I am one of those driver's (as a mother),who fear's unsafe driver's.They would not intentionally hurt anyone. That being said, even though grandma does not know where she is,she's not a bad driver.Just loses thought of where she is and cant recognize surroundings. She's probably seeking as hard as she can (in her mind),to find out where she is and trying to make it towards Grafton,Oh.WE don't need to advice on taking the key's away.WE HAVE NO SAY!We've tried!!These people are our world, and we've always had their best interest. That only does so much when you are being turned away from helping them.KNOWING THAT,PLEASE HELP US!I'm trying to get flyer's going. If you will,I can email a copy once I get them, and you could print and post through-out your area.Thank you!

First...I hope this couple will be found soon and safe! Prayers / Hugs to the family...Now....To the ones posting "take away their keys and driving privileges"....Keep those rude comments to yourself at this time! This isn't the appropriate time/place to be posting those things. If it were your family would you really want to be reading some of these? Come on! Say something encouraging during their time of need...(you would want the same if it were you)

A couple years ago, I was at a rest stop in Ky. and an elderly woman was trying every door and getting agitated. I asked what she was trying to do and she said "get out of here" I tried to show her the way out, but she ignored me. After I exited I questioned several at the area to see who she was with. Finally a very elderly gentleman showed up. He didn't seem to understand what I was telling him and refused to enter the ladies room to get her. Sad. Sometimes you have to do the tough thing. Take the keys and get legal guardianship. I do hope they are OK.

Take away the car and keys. Does anyone know if Patty doesn't know where she is or going, will she snap out of it long enough to get some help? I don't know much about dementia, but I do know that diabetics need meds. Jesus, I hope they are safe and show up any time.

Posted by: Fellow Driver on Mar 17, 2008 at 07:47 AM
Please don't think I am being ugly. I hope Patty and Bill are found safe and sound very, very quickly. Having said that, WHAT ARE THEY DOING OUT DRIVING ANYWAY?! In my opinion, folks with these types of medical conditions should have their driving "PRIVILEGES" (not rights) revoked immediately. Folks who have seizures are not allowed to drive. Why are folks with dementia and Alzheimer's allowed to drive? Someone should have taken responsibility and stopped them from driving. Now they have not only risked the public's safety, but their own.

Posted by: Some of you need to think on Mar 17, 2008 at 07:43 AM
I agree with those who have said they should've never had keys. I realize that the family feel that this statement is cruel. The fact remains that seizure patients, diabetics, and dui persons are not allowed to drive a car. Why would these two with documented Alzheimers be permitted to do so. If you can't remember ordinary tasks, why would one think that you could remember how to operate a car from point a to point b. These people are not trying to be mean but instead trying to tell you and others that sometimes we have to do things that may prevent harm in the long run. Not being able to drive a car would have prevented this. It is certainly not hard to take the keys. I took care of my great grandparents and was the person responsible for taking the keys from them too. You are not being cruel for taking them. I do hope that you find your family though.

Dont let people that have never walked in your shoes discurage you.Always hold on to hope and your faith will get you through this. There is to many prayers going up to God for them not to be found.People who dont know them have missed out on a lot. You people don't need to start criticizing the care givers when you don't know the situation. A family member was with them, and they forced her from the car. There was nothing she could have done. It's not a situation to place blame - just try to help!

Please,it is not as if we carelessly were taking care of our grandparents. We as the grandchildren have only so much say and access to how grandma and grandpa are taken care of.We just ask that if you don't have anything supportive to say, then please don't say it at all.We are hurting and working day and night to help find them.Besides not every single detail of the story and their life is out there. Please just help someone that is desperately reaching out for help!Pray that Gods Perfect Will be done. I don't want anything less than that.He knows best and knows where they are.I trust fully in that and believe through prayer and the prayers of all of you out there, that grandma and grandpa are safe.somewhere!Help pray that they 'remain' nestled in Gods hand until this storm in their life passes.Thank you HOWARD for the response!Atleast we may have 1 lead!God Bless You!Please ppl let us know if you even think you've seen them!I know they want to be home with their family.fryefamily02@yahoo.

They were with a caregiver and things turned hasty and my grandmother was insistent on getting away from her and succeeded. You can never no what to expect from an Alzheimer's patient. I don't mean to sound harsh but someone should have been with these two people at all times in their condition. My mother is 59 and was diagnosed with alzheimer's two years ago, so I know how the minds of these people are. We had to stop her from driving 1 year into her illness. I just pray that these two people are found safe and that God is watching over them at all times!!

I really hope and pray your family members is OK. To everyone else here to judge, and make comments that simply won't make a difference, except add hurt to this family, SHUT UP.

I go to church with this family. Unless you have had to go through something like this, you have no idea what they are going through and they definitely do not need anyone to be critical of them at this time. Unless you have taken care of elderly people in the condition that they are in, you have no business passing judgement. Jerry, Kayla,& Abby, you are definitely in my prayers. I hope that they are found safe. We love you and will continue to pray until they are returned safely.

first of all my prayers go out to this family. I must ask though as to why this couple was not in a nursing home or why someone was not staying with them. They were obviously not able to take care of their own selves. Another thing why had no one taken their car and car keys away from them. i know it is difficult to see your parents and grandparents in this situation but the parents and grandparents are now gone and they have since become YOUR children and they need to be cared for. as for having walked in their shoes as care giver I have for my mother grandmother grandfather and now my husbands grandmother i am also a licensed CNA.

Why would anyone allow them to leave on thier own? If I had a family member in that conditon, I would not have let them leave. I would have taken them home myself, even if it meant losing time away from work. Something doesn't sound right here. God bless this couple, I pray they are found in well health.

Posted by: Anonymous on Mar 16, 2008 at 05:55 PM
Why were these people out driving without supervision in the first place. It is a sad thing when a family must take some freedoms away from elderly family members but is it not better than this? I hope that we find this couple unharmed and are able to get them back to their family.

maybe it will help attract more hits if you will add to "wayne county detachment asking for your help". can you add something referring to the two missing seniors with alzheimers.

my sister and brother-in-law have been missing 3 days now. We believe they may have gotten on the interstate and headed lord knows where thinking they were on the way home at crown city. Patty is driving and can seem ok at first glance. however she gets very disoriented and confused. as she was thay day. Her dementia has been worsening. She may not remember what town she lives in.this may keep her from asking for help. She denies anything is wrong with her . Please check every motel parking lot you pass and be on the lookout for the blue ford focus.licence # is posted on wowk.com. We need your help.In cases like this my opinion is the eyes of the general public are the most likely to produce results. Thus thanks to the media whether it be by the tv, radio, word of mouth of the average citizen. please get it out there to everyone you know. Patty and Bill need our prayers. We the family need your prayers.

Yes, caregiving IS the hardest job. My father has Parkinson's and we did not take his keys away until 1 year ago. We did not know just how bad he was getting. Again, DO NOT JUDGE until (heaven fordbid) you are ever in that situation. I will surely be on the lookout for this couple. May God be with them.

My prayers go out to the family. I hope your parents/grandparents are found soon & I pray angels keep them safe until they are found. As for any critics here? Until you've walked a mile in someones shoes, don't for one minute think you know what they've gone through or say "why haven't you done this or that"? My mom is 96 & before she was in a nursing home there were many many times she would run away or try too; wander her neighborhood etc and I KNOW that we did EVERYTHING we could to try & help her. It's not as easy as it sounds believe me, I've been there. They have rights & unless you're cruel & chain them up somewhere they are like kids, they get away from you because you get so tired/worn out yourself you can't watch them 24/7. No one can so please stop blaming this poor family. I'm sure they've been through enough & are NOW having to go through this. Instead, go out & help them find their loved ones. Please keep us informed WSAZ Family? I understand your pain

I don't understand why Wayne County needs our help. It says they are driving a car with an Ohio license. Is this just another case where you live in Wv, but find it cheaper to register your vehicle in Oh?

I just wanted to thank all of the God-fearing people out there for praying for our grandparents.I want everyone to know that the 'missing couple' you keep hearing about, aren't just your everyday grandma & grandpa. They are the 2 most respectful,tender-hearted people you will ever meet. They have "taught" me the most important thing in life..to serve our Almighty God and to always put Him first everyday of your life!I wasnt taught that as a child, and they loved me enough to stress the importance of it.Grandma ALWAYS sings to us everytime we're around her.She loves to sing about her Lord! And up until the past couple years (with his alzheimers)grandpa would always be at her side singing w/ his guitar,teary-eyed & all.Her favorite is "I Want Us To Be Together In Heaven".Yes,they need some guidance & help in their later yrs..but God has always given them the grace to get through each trial they've had to face..As Grandma would tell you herself now "GOD STILL ANSWERS PRAYER".PEOPLE PLEASE HELP!

Willard and Patty are my grandparents and I have sent recent pitures to all the local news stations as well as the newspaper. He has been diagnosed w/ alzheimers since fall 2004 and at times she is more forgetful than he is. He's very feeble and dependant, she's friendly to strangers unless she feels like someone is trying to take control while helping her. I don't think the media is taking this serious enough. THEY ARE LOST AND CANT FIND THERE WAY HOME! They will not make there way home unless someone finds them and calls the police. They are in an '05 blue Ford Focus and probably trying to go back to Cleveland Ohio where they used to live until Aug 2005. Any info. e-mail me at Fryefamily02@yahoo.com Thank you and keep our family in your prayers

Why aren't there pictures being distributed on this case? A great friend of mine is their niece and she lives in Northern Ohio away from your viewing area and I shared this site with her. She doesn't understand why pictures aren't being shared so the public knows who to look for. If it was my family I'd have pictures out everywhere. These people are very ill and need to be found before it is too late.

Pat and Willard lived in Ohio for a time and had been longtime members of our church. During the news of this search, the song that Pat sang when last here rang thru my mind..."The God of the Mountain is still God in the Valley. The God of the daylight is still God in the night" We are all praying that God has protected them thru the night and that the Holy Spirit will guide them home. If you have a prayer chain established at the church you attend, please use it for their cause. Nothing is too hard for God. He knows exactly where they are.

Now my favorite restaurant in the world Kentucky Fired Chicken has thrown in twith these nuts and is grilling chicken now. Chicken was never meant to be grilled only fried regular or extra crispy. So people I say get busy we have work to do they is two states in front of us we in WV have to reclaim our top spot as best fed in the whole country go down to the foodland or kroger and get a cube of regular mountain dew a sack of Lays chips and some good ball park big red smokeys with a big bowl of chili and have a grill out tomorrow to celebrate the fourth of July in style and may I say God bless the USA and coal miners too.

  • Posted By: bonnOne more thing and I really will stop. Why does the weather cycle? I do not know everything-no one does. But everything has its purpose. Sometimes, more cold is called for. If we don't have hard winters snakes and mosquitoes thrive, for one. Mosquitoes are a large part of fish diet. And snakes keep rodents in check. But too much cold hurts other things that call for warmer temps. Quail is one thing that comes to mind that suffer in the frigid temps. We just don't understand all of the workings of these things. But it is all to keep a balance-many times in things we ourselves have killed off, such as bear and wolves. Even if we don't like some species, they all serve a purpose and nature helps keep that balance. Our world really was wonderfully made. With all the changes in temperature, we still have seasons. You can know it will be cold in winter and hot in summer. The excesses serve a purpose we sometimes can not see. Strive to learn of all of her wonders, not follow blindly.

But I hope I have caused a few people at least to think with their own common sense instead of blindly following whatever. Some theories may be correct. But many ARE for monetary purposes. We each were given a mind to think with. Question everything before taking it as it appears. And be sure and thank a veteran for the freedom we celebrate this weekend. Too many have died to protect it to just give it up willingly. And whether or not you are religious, lets try to love one another. Love can fix so many things! Try to keep our world clean, But that doesn't have to bankrupt us. We can all do our part in whatever ways we can. The old saying "Give a hoot, don't pollute" should not have gone out of style. And use your wikipedia to read "Ice Age" to see cycling.
  • Posted By: Follow up on cap and rapeCNSNews.com) – The 1,400-page cap-and-trade legislation pushed through by House Democrats contains a new federal policy that residential, commercial, and government buildings be retrofitted to increase energy efficiency, leaving it up to the states to figure out exactly how to do that. This means that homeowners, for example, could be required to retrofit their homes to meet federal “green” guidelines in order to sell their homes, if the cap-and-trade bill becomes law. The bill, which now goes to the Senate, directs the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to develop and implement a national policy for residential and commercial buildings. The purpose of such a strategy – known as the Retrofit for Energy and Environmental Performance (REEP) – would be to “facilitate” the retrofitting of existing buildings nationwide. In other words all your appliances-heating-stove -fridge-windows-would have to meet green standards before we sell SOCAILISM HAS ARRIVED YESWEDID

In a revamped health care system envisioned by senators, people would be required to carry health insurance just like motorists must get auto coverage now. The government would provide subsidies for the poor and many middle-class families, but those who still refuse to sign up would face fines of more than $1,000. The details were unveiled Thursday in a health care overhaul bill supported by key Senate Democrats looking to fulfill President Barack Obama's top domestic priority.SOCAILISM IS HERE The Congressional Budget Office estimated the fines would raise around $36 billion over 10 years. Senate aides said the penalties would be modeled on the approach taken by Massachusetts, which now imposes a fine of about $1,000 a year on individuals who refuse to get coverage. Under the federal legislation, families would pay higher penalties than individuals
  • Posted By: bonnGood grief! The brain washing has gone so far it will never get better. Some of this way of thinking makes me physically ill in my stomach. All of one mind! Mindless devotion to whatever is contrary to common sense and whatever theory is being passed around. Most families have both parents working, some two jobs, just to make it now. Soon you won't even be able to work enough to carry your family, the government and the ones who won't work. Then you will be disposable and they will start killing you off because you can't give them enough money. But you will blindly keep following. It is easy to see how Hitler took control and how it is being set up for the antichrist to take control. I quit. I will never read another comment. Just the other day I wrote how my child was injured at Camden Park! Of course RoaneCo. had to write something and attack me about my decision to get angry about the situation. Yes, I agree that I should just turn the other cheek but I was raised to stand up for myself!! • Posted By: HtiekWhat always amazes me about people in WV is their slavish devotion to coal mining even though it is killing the planet, costs more jobs than it creates, poisons the water, destroys the mountains, scars the land, kills the snail darter, and other horrible things. Things are all so backwards in this country why dont we switch over to something that lasts and is free like the sun and wind? Even if the president said that stuff and I doubt he did and even if he did you are misquoting him or taking him out of context he is right if there is one sure way to get people to stop turning their air conditioners down to 76 it is to raise the price, just like gasoline. People we can learn to ride bikes and walk again, just like they did in the old days, that will help give us exercise and decrease the obesity rate in WV. Food is another area, the slop that people eat like MacDonalds, trans fats, regular soft drinks, anybody with half a brain knows the intelligent thing to do is tax regular soda pop.

  • Posted By: KrisHi Bonn, it is true that these cycles do occur over time. Scientists have taken core samples from the earth and the ice to show these cycles. However, none of the samples show such a dramatic change in such a short period of time. I am a smoker and I will admit that my second hand smoke can and probably will effect the lungs of a non-smoker. The tons of carbon monoxide and other pollutants that we release into our atmosphere HAS TO have an effect on our atmosphere. True story: there was a scientist that day after day after day couldn't figure out why the sky was so blue and clear. Then it struck him, there hadn't been ANY planes in the air for three days. That was 911. What you put out, is what you get back. If you put love out, you will get love back. If you put out negativity, you will get negativity back. For every action, there is a reaction whether it's good or bad. It's in our hands to do our best not to cause an adverse impact to our planet. Peace to ALL!

This so called cap and trade bill that these busy body do gooders are pushing on us will destroy our jobs and run up the electric bills so that everybody will have to live like the Waltons with 27 people under one roof just to keep warm. Now the average hippie longhair don’t care noway because they would have us all living in mud huts riding mules wearing sandals and weaving baskets to load down with califlowers and arougalas tofu and alfalfa to take up on some worthless mountaintop as an offering to there windmill god instead of having nice homes, cars, a job and cool air in the summer and heat in the winter ALL THANKS TO THE COAL MINER. Anything to bother people attracts these hippies like flies to a cowpie.

WHY AREN'T THESE NEWSPAPERS BRINGING THIS INFORMATION TO THE PEOPLE? Because the nations 96% are owned and controled by the WEALTHIEST.
  • Posted By: bonnI was trying to make a point. Perhaps not in the best way. I get so discouraged seeing what is happening around us. One group of scientists call for us to spread soot on all the snow up north to absorb heat to counter the coming ice age. Another (more popular) group calls for painting our roofs white to reflect the heat that is melting our ice caps. Which group is right? Neither. Our earth is doing exactly as it has been doing all along. Cycling naturally. Did it plan it all on its own? Hardly. But no one wants to hear that. It reminds me of "chicken little" yelling "the sky is falling". Only this is not so funny-this is control. And what is even sadder is-people seem to WANT to be controlled. This earth will continue as always until one preplanned day it all comes to a screeching halt. Then a new earth will be created. I will not be caught off guard. I read The Book. I know where I will be. Do you? And do you really enjoy giving those schemers your money that much? I hope one day...
  • Posted By: KeithA few questions for the Yell audience: Does anyone remember when Obama gave that interview in SanFran Cisco and said that he would not prevent the construction of a coal fired plant, but his policies would bankrupt anybody that tried to build one? That policy was cap and trade. I heard O say that energy prices, under his administration, would "necessairly skyrocket." Is this the hope and change you guys voted for? How will you afford your electric and gas service under this man who cares so much for the poor? Obama said once that he was not bothered that the price of gas had risen so high, just that it happened so fast. How does everyone feel about the gas price? Obama raked John Pablo McCain over the coals for suggesting health care benefits be taxed as income, now he is going to do the same thing to pay for "free" care to illegal aliens, deadbeats, etc...but union workers will be exempt from this tax. How does that make you feel if you work for a living and are not in a union? H&C

The people of Honduras have a Constitution very similar to ours and we should support the people not an extremist who is trying to take over their country. The 22nd Amendment does a great service for our nation. IF it would be reversed that would be O.K too. At the rate Obama is going W. could beat him in 2012. At least I would sleep better at night.
  • Posted By: Just MeWow Jane Doe, give it a rest. I really don't think God would be please with this going on and on and on...healthy banter is fine, but this is not healthy banter. Christians absolutely can and do get angry, it's what they do with that anger that counts. It doesn't matter where, when, or even IF you go to church...what matters is that you have accepted Christ into your heart and asked for forgiveness of your sins. God didn't save us to judge others, he saved us to lead others to him. I've said many times...what if the person you just yelled at, told off, or whatever showed up at your church on Sunday? Would you be proud of your behavior?
  • Posted By: SophieRoane County is a beautiful place. The country roads snake along past fields, farms and old homes we wish could talk. Looneyville is indeed named after the Looney family, so is Gandeeville. My father was from Roane Co. & graduated from Walton High School in the 40's. He told me tales of his school days, friends, boyish pranks, old cars and the fun they had at the 4-H camp. Spencer was a big place to them. Roane Co. gave us many war veterans and kept distant family & friends together with the annual "Roane County Reunion". I don't even know if they still have it, but we used to go. I remember seeing Sen. Robert Byrd play his fiddle there. The Black Walnut Festival in October(?) is a good time to visit Spencer. They usually have a parade, arts & crafts and a museum. You can enjoy a slice of Americana, along with a slice of homemade pie.

There is also a Lefthand Post Office on Rt.36, always wondered why there wasn't a Righthand also. Our County seat is located in Spencer, (middle of nowhere) which for years was only known for its State Mental Institution. (no Jane Doe this isn't my Alma mater) It was closed years ago and now a Wal-Mart is on that location. I guess the only other thing to speak of would be the Black Walnut Festival which is held in Spencer every October.
  • Posted By: bonn, the simpletonDon't we have a smart earth? She formed herself from a dust cloud, they say and planted herself just the right distance from the sun to support the life she would create. She also filled her insides with molten heat to maintain the right temps and if that builds too much she decides to blow some out holes (volcanoes) to keep from exploding. She makes her own rain, knowing whether she needs a gentle soaking rain for her plants, or a gully washer to cleanse the filth. It pours down the mountains, into the rivers and out into the ocean which she just happened to fill with salt (her natural sanitizer). And she knows if she doesn't have ice she will over heat, but too much and she will freeze, killing her life she so carefully made. So she melts some, then as it heats up, she freezes more. All just coincidental happenings? She is brilliant! But not so smart as the humans who are making a fortune controlling the other dumb humans by convincing them THEY are causing her to do these things!!!

Obama gets elected, the world understands our good will, and all is well. Just like history, Republicans start wars, Democrats finish them. Hate to say we told you so but we told you so, I just get fuzzy inside thinking about all the people that love us now that hated us because of that old Bush. Another thing too, leave this Iran thing alone, that is none of our business. I dont recall anybody from Iran coming over here to help us in 1776 so why should we stick our nose in their business? When you get a strong leader like in Honduras, a good strong leader with a military background, everybody goes nuts because the guy takes things over well I support him and Obama. In fact, some people are so needed we better start now to get rid of the 22nd Amendment, it was only put in by jealous radical extremist crazy Republicans to hurt FDR.

Well people I am here to tell you that this bunch at the so called CSPI and no you hippies I don’t mean the TV show calling us fat should look in the mirror they look like something off night of the living dead pasty faced scarecrows and beanpoles and what is so great about that. WV has some of the best staple foods anywhere in the world I have eaten paotatoes beans meat flour and corn meal all my life cooked in lard and I am not one bit worse off for it and can mine coal with anybody. People all the good foods we eat are natural growed in the garden or on the farm so it should even make a tofu eating hippie type happy. I am more bothered that two states beat us out in the race for the top so I tip my hat to the people of the great states of Alabama home of the best country music band ever and Mississippi but people of WV get busy we have to reclaim our title to best fed in the USA I recommend the Kentucky Fried Chicken with gravy and biscuits as a good place to start our comeback.
  • Posted By: RoaneCo.Actually Jane Doe, growing up I did attend church and read the bible. Being subjected to religion for many years I would not consider myself "confused" or uneducated. If one looks at organized religion with an open mind it isn't hard to see who is confused. For example, you have one bible yet there are numerous religious groups ( methodists, baptists etc...) that believe their interpretation is the only correct interpretation. This is understandable because the bible itself is very contradictive. In my opinion the the bible and organized religion is nothing more than a tool created to control the masses. Yet this tool has pitted man against man, brother against brother, state against state and country against country, not to mention the wars, death and destruction it has caused. I have witnessed in my lifetime many family fueds, broken marriages and busted churches at the hands of organized religion. I have heard the words of hate spoken by christians. I am not confused.

  • Posted By: bonnTo Jane Doe: I am afraid RoaneCo's common sense is more attractive than your comments. Read your last post at 8:58 and see if it shows the Light you are suppose to give. We are suppose to control our anger. Yes, we are forgiven, but it is not a license to keep repeating our faults. It is mercy so we can improve. Viciousness does not become a child of God. RoaneCo., may God forgive us for driving you and others away from Him with our failure to shine the Light of Love. And Jane Doe, I am the one you called ignorant just because I was showing compassion (another expectation of a Christian). It is scary about your child. But that person was not attacking your child, nor joking about it, only disapproving of your outburst. Not very attractive in anyone, especially one called to set an example for others to follow. If you must get angry, use it to accomplish something good. Christians are hated enough WITHOUT cause. Love is the answer.

People all I can say is get a woodpile and a bunch of cow chips because your electric is going to get real expensive real quick. These hippies has run up to Washington DC and boo hooed to them tree huggers and longhairs in the EPA until they got even worse done to our jobs but then again what do you expect from a bunch that has a leaf from a dope plant on there sign like the EPA does if you don’t believe me look on this very website I seen a picture of it. Birds of a feather flock together that’s why the good working people were kept out and not allowed to talk at that hearing and the hippies let in. People these hippies has slandered our great state and coal miners first they bring in professor moonbeam from NASA to insult us then he tucks his tail and runs back to NASA and wont debate Mr. DB then they attack our state university mascot the WV mountaineer. Well people I Big Earl have a solution to this lets call WV the “Ivory Soap State,” make our mascot a bathtub that’s a sure fire way to get rid of these smelly hippies and longhairs and keep them out forever.

We all make mistakes every day,we get angry,we say things we shouldn't and act out our frustrations sometimes to those closest to us and our friends. We try to do better and ask forgiveness when we do stumble from our christian path. Actions speak louder than words at times, good or bad. Yes we adults act like children at times and children try to act like adults all too soon. We never know who we are influenceing with our actions and words so we need to always try to act,say and do what is right. As long as we are on this earth we will stumble but we should strive to be the best we can be and treat people with love and respect no matter how we are treated. I have turned the cheek many times and been slapped alot and will keep on doing it as long as I breath. My time will come soon enough to be judged as to the way I have lived and treated people.
  • Posted By: Jane DoeI love people on the Yell!!! They give me a chance to laugh everyday. Thanks guys!!
  • Posted By: just lookingUMMMM do you people think that christians are perfect??? Do you think we dont get angry?? Only one person is perfect and that is Jesus Christ...And if a christian says they are perfect, then they arnt a very good christian. We all have faults. Alot of you people cant wait to get up and look at the faults of others and criticize what they believe in....

  • Posted By: DonnaPlease! enough of Michael Jackson. He died, now he will appear before God and face his punishment for his sins against children. He was a morally bankrupt person who the media has presented as an icon. It's no wonder children are so messed up today, too much TV and not enough parenting. You too, are responsible for making him appear as a person to be looked up to. He and others in entertainment and sports are not what the children need, they need moral examples to look up to, please stop the glorification of immoral and indecent individuals.
  • Posted By: food for thoughtTo those of you telling me to watch out for Fox news, please go back and read carefully what I said about the media and the government. I thank each of you for your information. I am not out to attack anyone whether acclaimed or the average joe. I just know what I have read from reports and from different sites. This information is what our scientists, meteorologists and so forth use in reference to report the records of weather and temperatures. Again thank each of you, and at last Fox news was the channel the fine people at our local (American made) dealership had channeled on the tube, personally I just watch WSAZ, at the local level.
  • Posted By: Roane Co., why are you not concerned about the safety of small children at amusement parks?
  • Posted By: HtiekRight on Kris you tell em about Fox News. Everyone that watches knows that the dependable networks are ABF, Anyone But Fox. I am just like everyone else in the know, they lie all the time but please dont press me to cite anything specific as I am having coffee right now. I am new to your side, so pardon me if I get something confused. Those photographs of the ice caps are proof positive as far as I am concerned, these flat earth types that dont believe global warming should compare them to the satellite picutres from the colonial period and over the years since for comparison purposes. I once heard the hottest year on record was in the 1930s but what does that prove. And before one of you know it alls talks about Al Gore riding everywhere in a private plane and having such a huge house and running a company that profits from selling carbon credits, some people in life earn their special privileges simply by showing up and enlightening the rest of us, so there.
  • Posted By: polar ice capsthe weather is always changing.sometime it freezes sometimes it melts, thats gods doings, not mans.wasnt it the great mind of ted danson many years ago that explaind that in 15 or 20 years that the oceans were going to raise so many feet that it would destroy and overflo inward to apolipicate level.i guess the people that live on these coast lines dont know they are under water.we americans are so silly.let me explain what a great creator said,it rains but the oceans are never full.ice melts but the oceans never overflo.i think i,ll believe him instead of a.gore or ted danzen.p.b.s last week on a travel show,,i think,,,,the guide said the glacier there had been melting 150years.that was certainly before the industrial revolution.as for fox, world net daily, newsmax, etc.the liberal press has lost it monolopy on liberal so called news.
  • Posted By: RoaneCo.After you finish showing your true colors, go back and read my post again Jane Doe. Better yet let me cut and paste it for you. "I do hope your little girl is ok. I have children of my own, I know how precious they are." And just for the record, I would never "make fun" of a child, but don't think for one second that I won't point out an adult being hypocritical. Are you not the same Jane Doe that three weeks ago was preaching about God, then in the same breath calling someone "IGNORANT"? So let me say it one more time, I hope your little girl is ok. As for you, thank you for proving once again how kind, loving, patient and understanding some of you fine christians can be.
  • Posted By: KrisThis respectfully goes out to "food for thought" for what they said about fox news and global warming.FOX has great movies and tv shows but their view when it comes to the "news" is so far on the "right" way of thinking that it totally obscures reality in their opions of the subject at hand. They'll twist their views to make sure that it is opposite of "liberals" or people on the "left" and how they feel about the subject.Asf or global warming, we have actual time lapsed pictures of the polar caps melting at an alarming rate. You can actually see it happening. If things are cooling down, then why are the polar caps and icebergs melting at an alarming rate? The evidence is right in front of our faces. I sure do hope you're right because if I am, our planet is doomed. Sincerely, Kris

  • Posted By: KeithNever thought I'd sit around and miss Bush...well the wrecking ball has appointed a racist to the supreme court, one that is inept and incompetent too. Did you notice her latest ruling was overturned today? The economy is not getting better, those of you out of work have my sympathy because this clown is not doing anything to make it better. He never held a real job, never ran a business, just a rabble rouser and agitator. How do you feel about cap and trade energy tax? All over a phony problem that doesnt even exist; WV will wither away to nothing but hey we can all get jobs in the windmill factory, cant we? How do you feel about having your health benefits taxed to pay for Obamacare? How's the hope and change working out for everyone? What do you think card check is going to do the economy? Check out an article about Obama the African Colonialist on the American Thinker Website, dated June 25th. It explains him to a "T." Obama is a wrecking ball, and he's gonna roll over everyone.
  • Posted By: Big EarlWell hello again good working coal miners of WV this is Big Earl and people I have come to the conclusion that we need some friends in Washington DC that has got some clout. Some people up there has got big names but nobody apparently listens to, that is if they show up at all in court to help you out, those who are sick are excepted. Then there are some people in Charleston who should be in Washington who shall remain unnamed because nobody in Gov. Joes office asked me to say that. But remember who had that bunch from FEMA down here handing out checks before two weeks after the flood water hit and figure out who has clout. You people that went up for the hearing last week should be thanked but the good people never got to say a word but these hippies did, they are apparently now running around the creek with microscopes looking for fish that cant be seen with the eye, something called a microbe, now they are blaming the coal miner for killing off this worthless animal and I sincerely hope Captain D or old Long John will never put some slop like that on my plate when I want good seafood. If you dont see it it cant be of no good use anyway, sort of like a certain US senator with a big rich name who was nowhere to be seen last week.
  • Posted By: Jane DoeTo RoaneCo. How dare you critize my comment. This isn't just some fun arguement!! My child is hurt! Do you think that's funny? Do me a favor, Next time I write about my kids, Don't comment! I hope you don't have any kids because you don't see the harm and worry in my comment, You just want to fight and make fun of someone!! This is really serious!! I don't see the humor!!!
  • Posted By: Big EarlDid any of you people see those PETA nuts on the TV 3 news last night boo hooing about having to tie there dogs up hello again working people of WV this is Big Earl and I don’t know about you but I always thought it was rude and inconsiderate and just being a bad neighbor to let your dogs run wild all over the neighborhood digging up peoples backyards rooting around in garbage cans and doing there business all over the place. Have any of you people in Huntington ever lost a chicken to a wild dog. Even these back to nature types and hippies up here in Boone County tie up there dog to guard there dope patches but they don’t have no sense anyway if they aint going to Washington DC to try and rook us out of our jobs by carrying signs and yelling about some invisible fish that is no good to anybody they are screaming about the coal miner killing polar bears and other animals that don’t even live here. Apparently this bunch had the bright idea to go down to the park on Sunday down in Huntington when people was out with there families trying to walk around and enjoy things and they chained themselves to trees with real dog chains trying to get people to sign a protest petition to of all people a mayor named Wolf now I don’t know about you but that mayor better forget the beware of dog sign he needs to put a beware of the PETA nut sign up in that park.
  • Posted By: The Seeker@food for thought: It is indeed important to check facts, and it heartens me to see that you're of the type that actively seeks them (even thought I fall on the side of the debate that believes in climate change, as it has solid science behind it). However, I caution you on taking anything from FOX news at face value. This is an organization that in 2000 won a case in Florida appeals court in which the court ruled that FOX has no obligation to tell the truth to it's viewers, and can misinform the public under the first amendment. This is also an organization that has been proven to have an agenda, and frames every bit of it's coverage to favor one political party over the other. My advice is to seek out less obviously biased news sources, especially in cases such as global warming, which is an issue that transcends political parties and affects every being on the planet.
  • Posted By: HughHey WVa. Checkin out the YELL. Kind of quiet today. Enjoyed my visit there. Met John Henry at the Big Ben Tunnel, saw the big bridge. Stood at Hawk's Nest and viewed the scenery. If I wasn't so old and crippled, I'd bungee jump from the New River Gorge Bridge. Have folks who live in the Talcott area and some around Hinton. Well won't take much of your time today. Just wanted to check in.
  • Posted By: what is foor for thought?foor?? for thought, you do know Bush made those he commissioned to study it alter their reports when he found out it supported global warming, don't you? Anyone who just sees pictures of the ice caps 30 years ago and now would have to be mentally handicapped not to know there's global warming, the only thing that's possible to debate is the cause of it. Wonder why Fox didn't mention the Bush fiasco? Well I don't really wonder.
  • Posted By: more p.c at wsazgays in usa sounds like it was written by a gay person,so it was printed.it was,nt written by a gay person.it was a second thought, after i commented on other sins, such as adultry, but plainly written by a heterosexual person.it was not printed because im straight and not gay.so goes our country and freedom.
  • Posted By: Lou AnnIve had a similar bad experience at camden park several years ago. Havent went back since. The pricing is just another deterrent to doing business locally. I love this area but am very discouraged by the lack of pride in our appearance in several of our towns, the prices of doing business, the attitude towards the customer , the lack of merchandise. I could go on. We definately are not tourist friendly in the great ohio valley area.
  • Posted By: foor for thoughtLooks like my comment on June 24th may be right. I have done some reading about this Global warming fad the government is putting on. I was sitting in a local car dealership and FOX news was reporting on the government sitting or "burying" studies by two of the highest ranking EPA officials contradicting this myth. Some of the comments from their studies proves the Global temperature if anything has decreased. Although, you should be skeptical about anything the media reports especially when it involves the government these are facts that have been recorded over time. I ask how come when these bozos as Dr. Hansen whom is from NASA(which has done innumerable amounts of damage to our air with their testing) never mention facts as these when trying to prove things they are claiming is a fact. People we in America have became lazy in seeking the truth, I am not disputing anything these scientists and the government tells us, but as we learned in elementary school check facts of both sides.
  • Posted By: gays in u.s.a.another reflection on gays.if you think god doesn,t care about you because you,re gay ,he must love you more than you can comprehend,if not you could have been born ina muslim country.islam has no homosexuals ,they are not rehabilitate, just beheaded.as a loving and compassionate god says"GO AND SIN NO MORE".that doesnt mean just you it means all of us.yes god allows you to choose,he must really care.
  • Posted By: City of MiltonI'm glad that the City of Milton has so much money to spend and that they spend it wisely. Every time I drive through town on a nice day it never fails that someone is washing their personal vehicle at the VFD. Good to see that they budget personal car washes into the city budget. I think I'll stop in there today and see if I can wash my car as well...should be a nice day!
  • Posted By: ValorieAbout four weeks ago, I sent a letter to Camden Park with a friendly suggestion to open the park to the casual visitor again. As of today, I still haven't had a response from them. There used to be a small fee for admission to anyone who just wanted to visit. Once inside the park, a visitor could buy a corn dog or pay to play a few games or ride a few rides. Now people have to pay a full admission price for all day rides, even when they don't plan to stay all day. A lot of people are grandparents who just want to watch their grandchildren ride for an hour or two. Some are young parents with small children who tire easily. As empty nesters, my husband and I would like to drop by to get a bite to eat, play some games or just walk around. Everyone I have spoken to said they would visit Camden Park a whole lot more if they didn't have to pay the full admission price. I challenge everyone to contact Camden Park and ask them to give the people a choice!
  • Posted By: to gay questiongod is not a cruel and unfair god.we all have our faults.is homosuxality a bigger sin than adultry, pornography, lying, stealing, and the list goes on.the clue to these behaviors is wanting to make our lives better.we cant blame anyone but ourselves for what we do.if anyone doesnt change its what they want to do.but as long as it doesnt affect me thats between you and god.but it is wrong, just as cheating on your spouse is sin.would we tell the adulterer that its not sin and not to try being a better person,i think not.celibacy would be better than the same old behavior.these have been struggle since creation.
  • Posted By: RoaneCo.Losing your religion Jane Doe? What happened to "turn the other cheek"? I do hope your little girl is ok. I have children of my own, I know how precious they are. But next time you read of someone else being "furious" or commenting on their personal issues, maybe you should keep your bible quotes to yourself.
  • Posted By: Jane DoeI recently went with my church and my family to Camden Park this past weekend. Me and my 6 year old daughter rode the Spider, We thought it was going to be lots of fun, we were wrong! It was a nightmare! It went on for 10 minutes and was going way too fast! My daughter was terrified and was screaming! I was furious when the man that helped us off asked if she was okay and I said what do you think and he laughed!! I have rode this ride for many years and loved it, But this time I could tell it was different! But then it gets worse, A friend of mine that stayed at the park longer than us informed me that after we left, The spider closed down and said they had crossed wires and the ride was malfunctioning!!! My daughter can't hardly walk today and has a four inch bruise down her back! I'm taking her to the doctor in the morning. If there is something seriously wrong, I will be speaking to the owner and this situation will be takin care of!!!!!
