WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va, (WSAZ) - West Virginia and Ohio State Police are still searching for Patty and Willard "Bill" Frye. The husband and wife have been missing since Thursday. Patty has dementia and Willard has Alzheimer's.
The couple's grandchildren say Patty also has diabetes and she does not have her medication with her.
They are from Crown City, Ohio but were last seen in East Lynn, West Virginia. Patty was driving. The family believes she may have been headed to Grafton, Ohio, where they lived for several years. However the family says they don't have any clues as to where they could be headed. And say their grandma gets confused easily and does not know her way around.
They are in a dark blue Ford Focus with Ohio registration DEZ-5765.
If you've seen Patty or Willard, call the Wayne detachment of the West Virginia State Police or your local police department.
UPDATE:
WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Family and friends are really starting to panic. Patty has dementia and is a diabetic. Willard is suffering from third stages of Alzheimer’s. Without medication, very little money and open roads, there's a concern to bring them home safely.
It’s been a long five days for Kathy Bernard and her brother Kenny. Their parents, Patty and Willard Frye went missing Thursday afternoon.
“Because she's a diabetic with no meds, she'll get worse,” Kathy Bernard said.
State police have searched high and low.
“We called out aviation this morning, flew around four houses, didn't find anything,” West Virginia State Police Trooper Lee Pennington said.
The Fryes drove from their home in Crown City to East Lynn. That's where they were last seen and family members believe they might have driven to their old home in Cleveland.
The couple's caretaker drove with them to East Lynn after an argument, and then Patty and Willard left.
“Caregiver got her to pull over to a store. Then they fought. Mom got the keys and sped away,” Bernard said.
Bernard says she knows her parents drove toward Wayne, but still no phone calls or leads to their whereabouts.
“We’re just trusting God will get them back and there's a lot people praying. We just hope they find that little blue car,” Bernard said.
Media outlets in northern Ohio and North Carolina are reporting the Frye’s disappearance. There are friends and family in both those areas who Patty and Willard might have gone to visit.
Anybody with information on their whereabouts should call 911. Again, the Fryes are in a dark blue Ford Focus.

I knew the frye family, but it's been many years since I have seen them, I even went to School with two of there boys Kenny and Jerry, I am so sorry this has happen my heart goes out to the whole family, I want you to know my prayers and thoughts are with you, Mr & Mrs Frye were loving and caring people, they will be missed so much, God is watching over them now. Love to the Frye Family: From Barbara
Let me begin by saying thank you to all those that were praying for our family. My Mom and Dad were special people that showed Gods love to all they met. There were no strangers in their lives. Just to let you know the truth and where we are with all that has happened I wanted to for the last time let you know. Their deaths have been ruled due to exposure to the elements. The very long and hard delay was not to find actual cause, that was determined weeks ago but to legally identify my father. That was finally completed on Friday the 20th of this month. Mother was identified by her dental records but Daddy had dentures so they had to go back thru his medical records and just last week were able to get the xrays from a back surgery years ago to do a legal I.D. They will be released to us this week and they will, per their own wishes, be buried next to my brother in Northeast Ohio at the end of the week. It will be a simple service honoring what they wanted where they wanted.
Have there been any new knew about Willard and Pat Frye? I was wondering if funeral arangements have been made yet.
